This is exactly what I needed. The original Samsung battery that came with my phone was losing its charge too fast. I thought it was just my apps draining it and was desperate for something to fix it. I need to have certain apps for my work so this was indeed a problem. I purchased a portable charger. Too slow and a pain having to keep it attached to my phone when I was out of my car and away from a plug to use for charging. I also purchased a plug in battery charger unit. Nice, but only great if your battery is good. Finally a friend told me to get a new battery. I read the reviews and thought this would be a good choice. Oh my gosh! The difference is amazing!! I am getting double the battery life now and my other devices, though nice, are just not needed. Problem solved! I will be ordering another one soon to have a back up but I really do not think I will be needing it.

The Anker battery lives up to expectations, and gives similar or better performance than the OEM battery that came with my phone. Battery seems to last longer than the one it replaced, which was around 4 years old or so. A few initial charge/discharge cycles are usually needed to get the full performance value out of the battery. Would buy again and recommend! Review will be updated if anything (good or bad) changes.

I don't know if the phone is too old to hold up the battery or is the battery itself, but worked ok I would say, the phone doesn't last like back in the days. Update: After the first battery does not work well, Anker's customer service has reach to me and asked me some more details about the battery that might be a defect one, they promptly working out a solution with me to try it again with a brand new battery, so we agree on a replacement, after 2 days the new replacement arrived, I tried it and it works wonderful with my phone again, the new S3's battery replacement last longer than the defect one, we were so satisfied that Anker's team help us out on this ! Anker's team really stand to their name and I will use their product again !

After checking the task manager (on GS III) to make sure it was empty and making sure that all apps were stopped, I left my phone on with a 69% charge for 3-1/2 hours. When I returned, 9% left. I lost 60% charge in less than 4 hours at idle. I am not sure if it is the battery because this behavior is similar to the battery I replaced, the original. I am not sure what on the phone can make this happen. 9-21-2017 Edit Julia from Anker Customer Support contacted me within hours of the review I posted above. She gave me a procedure to try to get the battery to work for me plus offered me a replacement to try as well. A+ for customer service. Changing to 5 stars because of customer service. There are not enough of theses companies left. Thanks Julia and I look forward to working with you on this matter.

I had my S3 for over a year and I had grown accustomed to 2-3 hours of battery life with continuous use, and 4-6 hours of life with minimal use. There are things you just adapt to. After realizing that my battery was distended, and I was due for an upgrade, I did some research, and came upon Anker's S3 Battery replacement. I was skeptical at first, as I tend to dislike use 3rd party products, but the number of positive reviews won me over. The product arrived quickly, 2 business days. The product already came with a 40% charge. After fulling draining the battery, and fully charging it, I average between 12-15 hours a day with steady use. With minimal use I racked up 19 hours (which had me at 10% at the end.) The reason I'm writing this, and writing so highly, is based upon the follow up from Anker's. They actually sent a follow up e-mail to check to see if I was having any problems. Were there issues, all I had to do would have been to respond via e-mail and I'd of gotten support. I gotta say, that's pretty solid customer service. As I've already mentioned, the product works as advertised, and unless my memory deceives me, I feel the battery lasts longer than my original that came with the product.

This truly is the highest quality set of Apple chargers that money can buy. They managed to moisturize my scalp, heal my broken femur, and cure my AIDS. They charge fast and seem to be durable. 5/5 - Highly Recommend.

So far so good. It is holding the charge though it is not lasting as long as the original one did when new. I am revising my review now that I have used this product for a couple of weeks. I have changed my rating to one start. It has been discharging so fast that I have had to keep it plugged in more often than not. It gets very hot before it discahrges. The old battery, the original one, never did that. I am not sure whether this is a defective battery or if it is not meant to work on Samsung Galaxy III. I will contact the seller to see if they know the reason. Stay tuned. This is a revision of the revised review. Once I wrote the revised review, Anker contacted me right away offering to replace the battery immediately, which they did. I didn't even have to return the apparently defective battery. The replacement arrived promptly. Anker customer relations was on the job, following through with messages to assure me that they stood behind their product and to make sure that I am satisfied with the performance of the battery. The battery has been working very well, no more rapid discharges, maintaining its charge for a whole day in Samsung Galaxy III. I am satisfied with it. But more than that, the customer care this company showed me has been unparalleled! So the battery gets maybe a 4 star, the customer care takes it up to a definite 5 Star rating.

I've been running this battery in my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone for a week now, and it's clear that it works properly and has restored some of my phone's glide time. The original battery proved to be remarkably durable, but as is true for all batteries it had gradually lost capacity and started exhibiting troubling behaviors like occasionally getting stuck at 98% charge. Most alarming was that using it for just a few minutes in the morning would drain it down from fully charged to the low 80%s. I use the phone frequently throughout my work day to keep up on personal matters, and by quitting time my phone was in need of life support. So I had started carrying a bulky 12,000 mAh power bank around everywhere. Another factor that was confusing me was that about six months ago I got a Ring video doorbell and installed the Android software for that. The Android client was consuming about 19% of my phone's battery power - By default it runs when the phone starts up, and it consumes a lot of energy when there is a motion alarm or the doorbell is rung. I wasn't sure how much of the decay in my phone's battery life was due to installed software vs. battery degradation. The Anker replacement battery has fixed all of that, so even if I don't touch up my phone's charge during the day it's still well over 50% when I leave work. I've stopped carrying the big power bank everywhere. (It can sit in my car.) I have a long history of frustration with replacement cell phone batteries. This one is an exception, a bright spot. The price on Prime was great too.

After I received the battery and used it for a few days, It didn't hold its charge for much more than about 15 hours with normal use. I used it for a few more days and then contacted Anker customer support. They promptly opened a support ticket and got back to me. They asked me to let the charge run down to 10% and then recharge it to 100% without using the phone. They referred to this operation as "calibrating" the battery. I did this procedure 5 or 6 times as they requested, but the battery's charge only lasted maybe 28 hours at most. I let Anker know this and they sent me another battery whereupon I calibrated it several times as with the first battery and this new battery is giving me about 36-48 hours usage on one charge. A vast improvement and better than the OEM battery that came with the phone. The customer service person was prompt, courteous, thoughtful with empathy towards my experience. I'd definitely order from them again.

This is an UPDATED review, the original of which read as such: I was really hoping to have something special here but (so far) have found these batteries to be about the same as the Samsung (some of which are knockoffs), lasting about a day with just calls and texts and about five minutes on the Web; after that minimal usage, our Galaxy III phones have dropped to 40% or less by the evening just from being on (we use Clean Master to hibernate apps as well as clean our phones of junk and boost them of unnecessary usage; we also turn off our phones at night so the usage is just from about 6 AM to 10 PM)....UPDATE: So here's the deal, Anker apparently read my review and almost immediately contacted me that they were sending out a replacement, thinking that perhaps I had received a defective battery of some sort. So I checked my original battery that I had received and one of the posts between the gold contacts was indeed a bit skewed, possibly causing a loss of full charge or displacement. I had ordered two batteries and so I let the other drop down to about 10% (or when your phone gives you the warning to hook to an external device because your battery is low) before recharging and that seemed to do the trick, providing about 36 hours of charge but again with minimal usage (no streaming and little use of the Web, just mainly phone calls and texting, but the phone staying on). The replacement battery arrived and Anker contacted me again to make sure that I was okay with the replacement. Bottom line, I've moved the stars up because 1) I think this company really does care about their batteries and in making sure that you've got what you ordered (how many other companies even read or care about these reviews?); 2) the batteries (so far) appear to be quite the value when compared to other replacement batteries, lasting longer IF you let then drop to a minimal charge before recharging (this is better for the battery anyway); 3) mistakes happen and when you're dealing with as many orders as this company does, it would be difficult to catch every single flaw so demanding perfection is a nice and rare touch for a company today (think customer service); and 4) I think if the new battery drops down in a shorter period than expected, this company would be equally concerned about "why" and try to work with you. Basically, you have a lot of choices out there and while some are cheaper and some are more expensive, I doubt that you'll find a company so willing to make sure YOU got what you wanted. It's a refreshing change, and one that renews a customer's faith that yes, a company CAN care (rare in today's world, and all without any hassle).
