I bought this product so I could connect my old monitor to my HDMI slot in my computer. The imagine is perfect on my monitor and no driver was required to be installed.

I bought this one because I need a converter, I have not used it yet, after I used this product, I will give a detail information for it.

I am always on the lookout for more gadgets that will help me stream my older consoles for my channel and this definitely fits the bill. It would have been nice if I knew about this device sooner as it would have allowed me to stream from my GameCube and my N64 a lot sooner. Though I did purchase it mainly to enable me to stream though my capture device that takes in HDMI input, I have also played on the HDMI TV hanging in my living room as well. I would not say it gives a perfect picture to my HDMI TV from my N64, however when you sit back from it and not right on top of it, it is not bad at all. I notice no delay from input to what I see on screen if there is one it is minimal. The Game Cube is much cleaner as the images are less pixeled to begin with, so I have no complaints there. So far ever game has played well through the device. I have not tried it on the SNES though it does state it should work on it, but I have to dig it out first to see if there is even a compatible connection on it as I do not recall. If it does have the connection and I try it I will come back and update my comment to include that console as well. Update: I used it for the SNES and it did work but you realize just how pixeld everything is when you see it in HD. Not the devices fault as it is just converting the image over with no fine tuning possible, but I was able to stream footage and that is what I wanted the device for. So all in all still a great product and does what it supposed to.

Works well, Thanks!

Excellent product! Works great

I am always a bit wary when a nondescript whit box with a somewhat plasticcy part (really, parts) arrives that feels light and a little fragile. That said, while only been using it for a few days now this so far has worked great (connected both to an LG and a Samsung tv, both through hdmi). Both are new 4K sets and while the video obviously only display at lower res, I am impressed. No blackouts, snow, or issues connecting so far. I no longer need to keep an old s-video tv around just to connect my old N64.

The product works! I’m usually skeptical about these converters because they generally have a poor track record of success, but I was pleasantly surprised. You will get a blue screen that says something like no device connected until you successfully turn on the 64 with a game inside. Remember the good ol’ blowing trick if nothing is showing up because it might be the cartridge. The converter comes with an HDMI cord and a power cable with 5v converter. You do have to supply power to the converter in order for it to work. This works a whole lot better than using the Nintendo’s old rca cables up to a new tv. The 64 was designed to be played on those old box tv’s and it would always look blurry when connected to an hdtv with rca cables. The picture still isn’t perfect, but I felt it was far better with this converter - as good as you can get with 64 graphics. If you are looking forward to take a trip down nostalgia lane and prance around Hyrule on a full-grown Epona, treat yourself to this converter.

Let's you play n64 on HDTVs via hdmi. It doesn't upgrade the quality by alot but it does look nicer. Has a 720p and 1080p switch. I didn't see a difference when switching between 720 and 1080 so I left it at 720p.

I've been having trouble using my Nintendo 64 with my new devices that don't have RCA connections. My latest solution was to buy an adapter from RCA to HDMI. All of the connections led to signal loss. This product is compact and easy to use and cuts out the need for my previous adapter. There is no loss in picture or sound quality from the original intent. Of course, Nintendo 64 didn't have the highest quality picture or sound to begin with. The micro USB cord that comes with this is not very long, but if you’re like most families, you probably have a few of the long ones laying around the house you can use. Overall, I am very happy to have found this and will not use my retro gaming system more often.

My tenant thinks my house needs a converter to use on the TV to make them play better.
