Wonderful jar of multi-colored acrylic diamonds

These acrylic diamonds are absolutely beautiful! They come in a small plastic jar with a screw on lid, and have no weird plastic smell. They look really nice and have a lot of various uses. The only thing to be aware of, is if you plan on using these as board game counters, the color distribution is not uniform. I only counted the red diamonds in my first jar, but it was right at 67 total. A uniform distribution would be about 92, so if you intend to do anything with individual colors, you'll most likely need multiple jars. The light green had significantly more as you can see. I ordered 2 more sets to make sure I had more than enough of any color though, as I felt it would be more cost effective. Just to be clear, my image is of the first jar, as I've not sorted and organized the other 2 yet as it takes a bit of time. The bags shown are 2MM thick 3" x 5" (the entire bag including the zipper seal area). I think my only real gripe is color selection as another review mentions. There's a "champagne" color and a very "light yellow topaz" color that are pretty close in color. Instead, I would have liked to see one of them replaced with a darker green, such as emerald. I don't mind that there is no clear color, as you can order a different set for that. All of the colors themselves look really good though. NOTE: The colors from my iphone picture do not do these justice. They look much better in person with proper lighting on them. The red color has the most color difference. The gem itself is a wonderful ruby color, whereas in my picture, it looks like it's almost approaching an orange color. Overall, I was extremely pleased with these and highly recommend them. I now own 3 jars to use in board games, and am very happy with them for what they cost!

Cute little gems

We were doing a treasure hunt lesson for my preschool and these were perfect! I was able to put them in the manipulative area and children sorted them by color and also had fun hiding them in the sensory bin. I will get lots of use out of these through the years!
