I used to have a card reader for transfering photos from my camera to my iPhone 8 . I had to pull out the camera's memory card and plug it into the card reader before I can read it. Since I bought this USB Camera Adapter, I can connect the camera directly to my phone to transfer photos, which is very convenient, no need to remove the camera's memory card, plug and play. After purchasing this USB camera adapter, when I use USB flash driver to transfer photos and videos to my iPad mini 2, I can't transfer normally. I contacted the seller. The seller told me this USB OTG Adapter Cable supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4. My problem has been solved very quickly. If you encounter any problems in the process of using this product, you can contact the seller directly.

IT WORKS WELL

After having this USB camera adapter, no longer need to take the memory cards out of the camera, and then use the card reader to read the video and photos from the camera. I can also use it to connect the camera to transfer photos to my iPhone, I can share the photos that I took with my camera directly to my social media to share with other people. No need to take out the SD card to transfer pictures!

I often like to use my camera to take pictures whenever I go on outside to capture the nice moments and views. And I take out the SD card from my camera to upload the taken photos to social media. I use an iPhone 8 equipped with the latest version of IOS. With this USB camera adapter, I can transfer photos taken by my camera to the iPhone without taking out the SD card. Great for Viewing Files, Photos, and Videos

I keep document files such as Word, Excel, PDF, etc. and videos and photos on flash drives when I travel. Several places I travel WiFi and Cell service is not available. With this cable and the iPad OS13 upgrade, I can now plug in my flash drive to this cable and view the files on the flash drive. At the present time OS13 will not allow editing a file via this cable, but I have a RAVPower Filehub Plus, Wireless Travel Router that will allow me to edit files, but I general do not edit document files on my iPad. You can download the files to apps such as Numbers and Pages and edit them as save them to the Cloud, Dropbox, etc. I can now view photos at screen size and watch videos from flash drives via this cable without having to download them to my iPad. As a note, this was one of the main reasons I bought the RAVPower Filehub months ago. Now I can use this cable which is a much simpler way to do it.

Updating Previous Review

Update to previous review: Even though this product did not work for me, the customer service has been beyond fantastic! I have bought thousands of items from Amazon and only a couple of bad items and this has been the only seller to actually reach out and offer support. I did not request any support or ask for a refund, it's not like I spent a whole lot of money on it, but they aggressively reached out several times offering support, exchanges and refunds, which shows they really care about their products and business integrity, unlike most sellers on here. I do not need a refund or support and appreciate their compassion to do so. Apparently this falls on Apple and their inability to create software compatible with anything that doesn't have their name on it and I also discovered that adapters like this are only compatible with specific devices and each type of adapter will have a different device compatibility...and those devices will change for each update that Apple makes to the iOS, so it's a hit or miss and I can't afford buying every adapter ever made trying to find something that will work. I will hang on to this one and test with each new update, but in the meantime I converted to Android since all my devices work with its USB adapter. Previous review: This has been a waste of money. I have connected several different devices to the iPad and none of it is detectable. The main purpose was to connect a bar code scanner to work with Square Store app, but that didn't work, so then tried a camera, flash drive, keyboard, mouse, and even the postage printer, nothing works. After contacting Apple support, these types of adapters are not compatible with any Apple devices and it was recommended that I convert to Bluetooth devices to work with square store or purchase an Apple branded USB adapter.

Hooks up IPhone to Mic or other USB items

This product was one that was essential for my microphone to hook up to my IPhone. I use it for my gaming YouTube channel Gamer Rakino. Check out the difference by watching an old video of mine where I speak and a newer video where is speak and you can tell I needed this device to hook directly from my phone to my mic. The sound quality is great! I attached a picture on how I use it. I had to use the iPad in this case because I’m taking the picture with my phone.
