I bought this SXWLJT 25mm silicone clear weather strip because of the extra rain, snow, and cold drafts that come along with old man winter, weather stripping is very important to protect your home from damage, drafts, and insects. You can apply weather stripping to doors and windows where the weather stripping is missing or damaged, in my case my French doors have big gaps and the cold air or hot always was getting in. Helps increase the energy efficiency by blocking cold drafts and insulating your home from the cold and rain. Weather stripping essentially seals air leaks in your home that let cold air in and warm air out, forcing your HVAC system to work overtime. This self-adhesive silicone weather stripping was extremely easy to installed I can tell you it works cause my gas bill this month was the lowest ever since I remembered and my house is big, I will be buying more for my other doors, probably even for my windows. Just as described

This was purchased to install on our back door to fill in the gap and prevent cold air drafts. The back door had a gap along the side with the lock and handle that we couldn't figure out a temporary fix for the winter months. The house is settling and so that's a different issue which may have contributed to this problem. So we purchased this big roll of this silicone with half adhesion and it looks much nicer than the black foam tape we tried to install from the home improvement warehouse store. The adhesion appears to be holding up so far after 3 weeks of below freezing weather outside. I also will update this review in a month to see how well it stands up to the sub zero Michigan weather. There is a quite a bit of this sealing in the roll so I will be using it around to repair our older fiberglass windows when the furry strip has decreased its weatherproofing over the past 25 years.

Love this seal strip! Have been using it all over the apartment. I have a window in the bathroom right near the shower so I have never been able to open this window because anyone can just peer in. So I ran the seal strip across the bottom of the window, and it's now my "privacy screen," and I am so happy to be able to open the window even an inch to help ventilate the bathroom. See before/after photos. Additionally, I taped these around my air conditioner and sealed the gaps that were allowing hot air to come in. 3M adhesive is great, and you can barely see it because it's clear. I'm going to seal some gaps on the floor too with these to stop bugs from coming in.

Frustrated by a poor quality patio slider which lets in flies/bugs during Summer months and freezing whistling winds in Winter, I finally found a product that works to block the gap on my slider when it's closed. After wiping down the metal door frame, I installed this strip in under 2 minutes! It adhered instantly without air bubbles or creases. And it's nearly invisible. This morning, i stepped out onto the deck for a breath of brisk clear air realized the strip didn't squeak as i opened/closed the slider! "Wow. Perfect" I said to myself smiling like a Cheshire Cat. Money well spent.

I bought an old house a few years back, and the doors do not seal correctly, and eventually need complete replacement. This seal worked great as a stop gap (no pun intended) measure to block the draft in the few places the door let the cold air in. I ended up putting it on the frame of the door vs. the door itself because the doors are a bit crooked, and it helped to create an additional seal when the door was shut. I'm happy with it. I have plans to buy more to use on on my sliding glass doors and windows soon too. I see many benefits to it.

Day 1- I am super impressed so far. I needed it for a sliding glass door where I also have a pet door. I always had a draft and have used other materials to eliminate the draft. Especially in the winter. Which I finally needed up using a throw blanket tucked in the gap to keep the cold and wind out. This was easy to install. It keeps the draft out and the door still slides easily. Maybe I will update in 6 months or a year to let you know how it lasts. For now I am super happy. Worth the money

Works perfectly on Sliding Patio Doors. Open gaps due to Pet Door Insert. This Weather stripping is strong and stays in place along the inside and outside edge. No more flies getting in and inside air is no longer escaping. I can now get rid of the foam strips that I had to move every time I opened the door. I'm very happy...THANK YOU!!

I saw in comments that it was recommended to use double-sided tape on the surface, and boy did it help. No problems at all, put up the strips on a door to dull noise and they've stayed on for several weeks now. I was so pleased I tried to buy more from a different seller (this was out of stock), and despite seeming like the same thing, it wouldn't stay in place longer than half an hour.

We always had a draft between the 2 glass sections of our sliding glass door....using this strip seal I was able to attach it to the movable door to slide into the metal channel on the stationary section......I prepped the metal on the door with alcohol wipes before applying the rubber strip with 3 m tape on it.....went on easy but would have been easier if I removed the door to access the location I wanted to apply it......end result is no more drafts and door is now sealed when closed.....ready for winter in WI.

We had a draft coming in from around our front door. I purchased this silicone weather stripping and what a difference. My husband put it all around the door. It sticks and keeps out all the drafts. It is the best. No more drafts for us. This is a wonderful product at a fantastic price. I highly recommend it.
