Seems really well designed, first use a success

The picture may not look like much, but it shows two things: First, a $100 bottle of 16-year old Scotch that successfully flew cross-country in my checked bag; and second, my embellishment, which was to seal the wine bag in a food vacuum bag. I did this not only to give me one more added layer of protection against possible breakage but, more importantly, because I've had a few failures over the years where TSA opened things and then didn't close and re-package them properly. If nothing else, I will know if they opened the wine bag to see what was inside since they'd have to destructively open the outer sealed bag. Said bottle of Scotch is now going to take a 15-hour flight from New York to Mumbai. If you don't hear anything more from me, i.e., if I don't update this review, you may assume that it was successful. I'm updating my review since the bottle of Scotch survived a literal and unexpected around-the-world journey (plus). It went like this: San Diego (SAN) - New York (EWR) 15-hour stopover - Mumbai (BOM) the intended final destination, but circumstances dictated otherwise - Chennai (MAA) - Honk Kong (HKG) - San Francisco (SFO) - New York (EWR). And now, the only remaining question is, " Do you want that neat, straight up, or on the rocks." Yes, that was a joke, there is only one answer.

Terrific Product

I ordered these travel pouches after one of our son's had a wrapped bottle of wine break in his suitcase during travel. Obviously the packing was not sufficient, and I wanted to find a simple, pack-able, quality product to protect wine when shipping, and traveling. It's fine when you purchase a case of wine and ship in a wine box, but single our double bottles are often purchased without a suitable packing solution available. The double layer provides confident protection for arrival, and in case of leakage. The empty item easy to pack and doesn't take up space in a suitcase. The velcro seal is very secure. The item is reusable. I'm very happy with this product, and we gave them to each of our kids.

Wine bottles made it home safely

These bags worked perfectly for my trip to Italy. Instead of lugging around a suitcase, I traveled with a large hiking backpack. I wanted to bring home bottles of wine so I ordered these bags. I packed the bottles of wine and into my backpack. Checked the pack at airport. I was nervous that the bottles, especially the Limoncello with a long narrow neck, would break in the pack, but nope, all bottles made it home safely. I would highly recommend these bags if you want to safely bring home bottles from your travels. One disclosure: I carefully placed the protected bottles in the middle of the pack surrounded by my clothes.

Stress-Free Travel!

I have travelled with bottles previously & was stressed the entire time they would break & drench everything in my suitcase. No such worries with these bags. Accidents happen, but if a bottle breaks, at least it is safely contained in the sealed bag.

They work!

We love these for travel but two split immediately so that’s why I gave them 4 stars. The value is good however. Be sure and use both pieces and seal, wrapping in clothes in the suitcase

Works great!

I got these for my husband for Christmas. He was so excited and he used them for our New Years trip. We flew to Tucson with 3 bottles of wine in his suitcase no problem. Things to consider when packing wine in your suitcase. You will have to check you bag (no duh!), watch the weight (unless you don't mind paying extra). He was thrilled. They worked perfectly not breakage and no spillage. We plan to go to Napa later this year and will be taking these with us. Most likely we will take and extra suitcase just for wine (wink wink) :-)

Works Great!

I bought these for a trip to Russia as I wanted to be bearing some liquid gifts from the USA. My bottle of wine, whiskey and hard apple cider made it easily and without breakage. On the way back....I used them to protect my matryoshka doll purchases and they made it perfectly. The ONLY issue was that one of the packages got ripped, but I'm 99.9% sure it was a TSA agent that was unfamiliar with the packaging and started tearing it open. Oh well...they figured it out and the rest were fine. My girlfriend saw them and immediately asked to borrow one for her bottle of wine. I gladly let her have it.

LOVE! Work beautifully, travel with confidence!

I never write reviews because I’m lazy but I wanted to take the time because this product is SOOOO awesome! I only like to drink a specific wine that’s often not available when I travel, so it’s worth it for me to drag bottles along when I go on vacation - omg - these are awesome. They work beautifully. I took 12 bottles with us (ya, a little overboard, even for me!), and I brought 5 home - all did very well - no breaks or cracks in my checked luggage ... but even if one had cracked I feel very confident nothing would have leaked through the triple protection this packaging offers. I think it would be very hard to break anything inside, but if it did happen, I think your clothes and the belongings of your fellow travels would be 100% OK. Fantastic design! I can’t believe I’m just now finding this product. When we got to our destination, they were easy to disassemble and also reuse for trip home; they lay flat for beautiful storage and reuse for our next trip. I’m also going to purchase additional sets for friends & family as gifts. Excellent idea for that wine lover in your life... Also cheaper to pay for additional bag full of wine than have shipped from most vineyards. LOVE. Buy them - you won’t be sorry! THANK YOU!!! (Oh, and my boyfriend brought home some unusual shaped liquors he found when we were on vacation, so they will also accommodate larger/fatter bottles than just your standard bottle of wine...) AWESOME product at a fantastic price!!!

Worked Perfectly

I bought several bottles of wine in Napa and these worked great to transport them on the plane. No bottles broke but the design ensures that in the unlikely event they do your clothes will be safe!
