Ovulated Earlier Than Expected, Pregnant After First Use!

This is my first month trying to get pregnant and I’m so happy I bought these tests. From tracking my period in my app I was supposed to ovulate June 29th but using theses tests I got a positive on June 25th! If I would have waited to try on the 29th I may have missed my ovulation day. Hopefully they are accurate, I will update my review if I get a positive pregnancy test this cycle. Comparing these with CBE advanced digital opk.

I did a side-by-side comparison using these and the clear blue advanced Digital ovulation kit. My results were… For LH levels this brand is spot on with even the most expensive. The clear blue easy advanced digital OPK definitely has its advantages. It test for two different hormones, LH and estrogen. As such, Clearblue easy advanced digital is an excellent OPK for giving you a bigger fertile window. As estrogen rises before LH and thus it gives you a couple days advance notice of your LH rise and following ovulation. This increases your odds of getting pregnant because it is the days preceding ovulation that will most likely lead to pregnancy. However, Clearblue easy advanced digital brand is extremely expensive and you are limited to 10 testers per one-month supply. Because of this, generally you can only test once per 24 hours. For some this might be adequate, but if you have a short LH window, testing every 12 hours is best. That is where this brand comes in handy, the very low cost allows you to test often. I have use this for 3+ months and have found the results very accurate. Plus, with the digital you cannot really follow the trend of your LH, because of how the strips work. This brand however is excellent for watching the trend of your LH increasing, as the color will become darker as your LH increases. I highly recommend either using these strips alone ( if you are on a budget) or supplementing these with the clear blue easy advanced digital Opk (if you have a bigger budget). I tested every 24 hrs in morning with the expensive Clearblue easy advanced digital and tested with this brand of OPK strips every 12 hours. Because I was using these strips, I caught my LH surge 12 hours earlier. Which allowed for me to squeeze in an extra BD session. My method definitely worked and after four months of trying, we got our BFP! I do not think I would've had my success with the clear blue easy alone. And in hindsight, because you can watch the LH trending on the strips, I probably would've done just fine with these alone. But like I said if you have some extra money, the clear blue easy advance digital is helpful. BTW, I paid for these myself and was not reimbursed for this review. Just a scientist who wanted to experiment with different OPK's in my quest TTC. Hope you find this helpful :)

Anovulatory cycle. PCOS

Just wanted to share the LH strip tests showing what it looks like when there is no ovulation. The lines for the most part look about the same in darkness. You see a slight rise in LH however not enough to release the egg. The surge was not great enough So this is an anovulatory cycle. Just wanted to share it in case it might help someone out there. Happy baby making ladies! 😃

PREGNANT AFTER FIRST USE!!!

When I tried to get pregnant with my first child, I used the ultra expensive Clear Blue "smiley" face tests for six months (lots of wasted money). I would get a smiley face, try to make a baby, and I NEVER got pregnant. I was convinced I couldn't conceive, decided to adopt and got pregnant a month later without those rip off tests. So now, we wanted baby #2, and I realized I know nothing about my ovulation. I've heard from plenty of woman about their immaculate ovulation where they say "I can feel my egg drop..." (Eye roll from me). Not so much in my case. Everyone started informing me about cervical mucus (CM). SO I attempted a month of trying without tests. I swore that I ovulated about 6 different times. Didn't get pregnant. I bought these tests and was really frustrated when I didn't get a positive line after 18 days (I have a spot on 28 day cycle). The app I was using expected my ovulation between CD 12-18 so I was testing AM and PM. The app wouldn't even consider that my ovulation would occur past CD 18. But lo and behold...I got my first darker line the night of CD 20 (App still wouldn't believe me). CD 21 morning I got a very obvious positive (both lines were the same darkness). Did the deed that night and now I'm 6 weeks pregnant!!! I read many reviews about women having later than normal ovulation. If it hadn't been for these tests, I would have believed my app and assumed I already ovulated. Thank goodness I kept using the tests. THESE WORK!!!

Good buy, but...

My amazing husband and I are going to be expanding our family very soon. I wanted to track my ovulation to give ourselves better luck at becoming pregnant sooner. According to the instructions, I should start testing at Day 18. I have long cycles that range anywhere from 34-35 days. I decided to start testing earlier and received my positive LH surge at day 16. Had I tested at Day 18, I would have missed my window. The tests are very easy to use and when you get your positive, you will definitely know. I will continue to use these strips, however, I will start testing sooner so I do not miss my ovulation time. I am happy with my purchase and will continue using these until we become pregnant. I will provide an updated review once we are pregnant. ****Update: We are PREGNANT! Worked the first month!

Pregnant after one month of using!

Easy to use! We used these strips along with the Ava fertility bracelet appt to track 5 most fertile days! CD 13 + 14 most fertile 2 days before ovulation and CD 15 is the day I was expected to ovulate!

Baby # 2

I am 30 and trying for baby number 2. It had been 5 months and still I could not get pregnant. I quickly realized after going off birth control my body was all mixed up and I didn't know if the app I was using was right about the correct day of ovulation. I decided to buy ovulation strips to help me figure out my cycle. After reading the reviews I decided to try theses with the premom app. The app said I would ovulate on 3/31 (CD 18) and sure enough I did. So we did the deed on 3/30 & 3/31 (CD 17 & CD 18). On 4/17 3 days after my missed period I am PREGNANT! This worked the first time! We started trying in November and all of those times I wasn't really trying but my husband and I were doing the deed every other day, I still did not conceive. The first use of these strips we had a success. These strips are very helpful. I'm convinced! I now believe I should have started with these strips to begin with. I was starting to think I had no control over my body and maybe I couldn't get pregnant. I'm glad I gave these a try. I hope this review is helpful.

it did work for me

so my cycle is longer now that i am breastfeeding and my son is almost 2 years old. i used to be like a 28 day cycle, but now it is closer to i would say 36-40 days. the online prediction was that i would ovulate at about 27 day of the cycle (remember you count day 1 as first day of your period). so i started doing the test on day 8 just to see. i did not get a positive until day...you guessed it-27! i could not believe it. i also got it on day 28 and 29 and then i unfortunately ran out of strips so not sure if i continue to get the positive. they say usually it is possible to get a positive for about 3 days so it is possible that if i continued testing it would be negative now. i will include 3 pictures of my positives. remember the positive is when the test line is darker than the control line. and i tested around the same time every day (2pm) but i do WAKE UP LATE. they say it is best to do it when you dont have a lot of food or liquid so i would do it like right after my late breakfast, before it had time to get in my system so to speak hehe. also something worth noting is that the first day i got a slight positive (one of the pictures) i tested around 2pm and then decided to test again at 5pm and it was negative! but the next day when i tested again around 1 or 2pm it was a CLEAR positive, more so than the day before. you can see on the pictures how the test line was getting darker during the 3 peak days. fyi we did not do the BD on those days, but we did right before getting the positive. i will update if we do become pregnant. remember though these tests only show your body is preparing for ovulation, it does not mean you do ovulate for sure. i am glad i bought these as they are cheap and they did confirm the time my body is preparing to ovulate.

It really works!!!

My hubby and I have been trying for 4 months and I decided to try these and tada....they worked!!! I got this small pack once my period was over started tracking my ovulation everyday and than once I was no longer ovulating we just waited until my period was going to start. Here we are one day late on my period and I AM PREGNANT!!!! I say get this it won't hurt to try.

I have pcos and it worked for me!

I never write reviews, but i needed to for this. My husband and I started trying for baby #2 almost a year after we had our first. It didn’t work. I found out around April 2019 that i have pcos, so i knew that having another baby would be difficult. I decided it was time to try again. Well i used the test about a week before ovulation since there is so many test and i wanted to see how they work. I downloaded the app, and saw a spike two days before ovulation plus i had another sign of ovulation (won’t say just Incase it’s tmi). We found out May 15, after only one time that we were pregnant. Currently 16 weeks pregnant. So this can work for women with pcos, just give it time and don’t give up.
