Good value for the money & Xcellent customer service.

So far this has performed well. The lens adjustments are invaluable. Pictures are clear and the open sides allow stereo sound from my iPhone 7 even without earphones. The padding against your face is nice, but being someone with a rather large nose I found it uncomfortable as the nose bridge rubber is not very soft. I used the spacer pads that came with it to pad the nose bridge and it now feels much better. Would be nice to have a portal for the camera for augmented reality of the real world. I may drill my own hole for that... The blue lenses let me watch for long periods without eye strain. The top strap alleviates much of the phone weight and the phone stays in place when moving your head. A good value for the price. *** Update *** This company has excellent customer service! After reading about my issue with the nose bridge being uncomfortable, they sent me another version of this model with a different material in the nose piece to try. Much more comfortable as the weight of the phone is now better distributed on the padding above my cheeks and the top head strap. Also had a rubber coated focus wheel on top which is easier to adjust with less effort than the previous model. I didn’t have to ask for the extra headset, pay any sort of shipping or return the original unit, which my wife now uses, as it fits her nose much better. I really like that I can use this with my antigravity case on the phone without issue. Bravo to Destek for going the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction with the product.

Not only the headset screams quality, the coustomer service too

Before I came across the Destek V4 VR headset, I thought that VR consisted of either an expensive headset that had to be tethered to a computer or a piece of cardboard that you have to hold to your face. Those preconceptions were completely shattered when I purchased this headset. For 36 dollars, you get a sturdy, elegant headset that has a field of view of 103* (the FOV for humans is 114*and Google cardboard usually has around 85*), an adjustable focal length (meaning that if you have glasses, you can adjust the headset and use it without them), FAUX LEATHER STRAPS, safety coated lenses, a felt storage bag, microfiber cleaning cloth and just an overall high quality build. I was showing this to people around my dorm and it is really as fun to watch others use it as it is to actually use it yourself. People got so surprised when I told them that it was actually my phone in there and when they found out the price, they were really impressed by how it looked and what it can do. When I use the headset, I find it really comfortable to wear; the adjustable straps really help you take some of the small weight of your phone off of your nose. Also, there is a padded piece of plastic that connects the straps with a small bungee on the back of your head and it really helps keep the headset snug on your face. The only thing that triumphs the headset itself is Destek’s customer service. When I received the first headset in the mail, I had noticed that the Pupil Distance knobs (located at the bottom of the headset) where stuck in place. Immediately after discovering it, I e-mailed Destek, explaining my problem. Expecting that they reply in a day or two, I was really impressed when I recieved a reply after not even two hours. After explaining my situation to the friendly support staff, they simply asked me to take a few pictures and videos of the problem. After confirming that I indeed had a product with a defect, they simply agreed to send me a brand new one - completely for free! That is something that completey blew me away. I now have a fully working headset that works flawlessly and I am happy to say that the first one will be used in my college’s Science Museum! I donated it to our team and we will be using this VR technology to create an imersive exhibit that will let children and parents alike thrust themselvs into amazing situations that they could never before imagine! Weather it be in outer space, deep in the ocean, or visiting the arctic - anything is possible with the Destek V4! Over all, this is a high quality product that makes Virtual reality accesable to truly anybody. You can see that the people that are behind this headset truly care about it and the people who use it. Great for phone app FPV.

I'm not into VR gaming. But, I do FPV with some of my drones, using the WiFi link between the controller and the dedicated smartphone. This DESTEK headset is great. The adjustable diopter system compensates for my farsightedness. So, no need for glasses. The headset is very comfortable. It will also accommodate most smartphones smaller than a Note 9 or Note 10+. It works very well with my S7. The image is crisp and clear. It comes with an extra nose bridge pad. The straps are adjustable. The whole unit is very light. Outside light is very well blocked, while ports on the sides allow for ventilation and earphone or headset connection (if desired). Good purchase. Five stars.

VR 4 CHEAP!

Gonna be honest. I bought this because of the price... I have samsung phone and I didn't want to have to drill a hole in the side of my Gear VR to use it with the controller for my drone. Bought this as a cheap alternative and ended up being shocked at how well it works and how sturdy it is built. Don't think you're buying a substandard VR set because of the price.

Works well with my Samsung Note 9

My first VR headset was the first gen Gear VR with a Note 4. It was good, but the phone really limited it. Even when the phone was new, battery life was short and the phone overheated so fast that I had to mod a PC fan onto the back of the headset just to keep it cool. When I got the Note 9, I really didn't want to spend the $100 on another gear VR, but I wanted to use my much more capable phone for VR. I decided to try out this headset since it's such a good price. Glad I did because it does everything I need it to do! The fit and finish on this is on par with the Gear VR. Just a minor note is that you'll probably have to move the phone slightly to the side to get it lined up, mine doesn't align in the center. Once it's aligned, the VR works wonderfully. The tech has advanced a lot since 2015 and I would have trouble telling the difference between the original gear vr tracking (with built-in head tracking) vs using my new phone's sensors. The headset fits well on my larger than average head. It's comfortable and I think I could use it for several hours at a time. Another huge plus over the gear vr is that you have access to tons and tons of apps in the play store instead of being limited to the official store. I just experimented with running a steam vr game broadcast to my phone and it works surprisingly well.

Good quality, easy to use, and very affordable

Setup was easy! Works great with my Note 9. The VR itself has adjustable straps to make it comfortable. It also came with a nose pad, which helped A LOT since my phone is a little heavier than most. I was instantly able to download VR games directly from my Google Play. My children and I really enjoyed playing scary games and scaring each other while focused on the VR game. Overall it is a great experience!

Great value if you don't want a VR system

Wasn't sure what to expect from the VR world. From the research I did, I gathered there are basically two options: (1) a full VR system like Oculus, or (2) a "cardboard" type viewer. Seeing as I could probably make a viewer at home with some old ski goggles and some actual cardboard - I decided to look for one of the least expensive viewers I could find. This product works great, has some easy to use adjustments for clarity. My biggest gripe has nothing to do with the product, but the universe of VR content out there... there just isn't much good stuff. I should mention that this works with heads of vastly different sizes - I bought this primarily because I knew my 7 year old nephew would be in the hospital for an extended period of time, and I wanted something that would transport him to a different world. It fit his head just as snug as it fit mine. He liked the VR experience substantially more than I did (there's some good Pokemon content out there). All in all, this is a product I'd recommend to people who want to take dip their toes in the VR pool. Basically, it's a great starter rig for the price.

Awesome VR headset with good clarity

I was a first time VR user and was wondering if it will be complex to set it up but to my surprise VR head set was very easy to set up.help guide was vey clear and concise and they even had QR codes which I can scan and see the you tube videos for first time users .they alo recomended software's. While keeping your phone in the head set,it has a shaft which you can use to adjust your phone.my phone was neither samsung not iPhone but it fits perfectly within the box. It also came with a lens adjuster ,which I used to adjust per my eye distance and the clarity was really awesome All in all nice VR headset.

A+ Basic VR

Great deal for the price. Works fine with an older phone (Samsung S5). Fun to travel the world from my couch.
