Much better than headphones!
These are great! My husband always complained when we went to bed, that the tv was too loud. I have to watch tv in bed every night. I got the headphones at first. But then I saw these. I sent the headphones back and got these. They are so much better than the headphones. You can lay on your side and they don't dig into your ears. The battery lasts a long time. I am so happy with these verses the headphones.

FANTASTIC IN NOV OF 19 BUT PRICE INCREASED FROM $90 TO NOW $100
Absolutely OUTSTANDING, I'm old and deaf as a stone so simply cannot hear the TV (even with hearing aids) unless the volume is way too high. These have great sound. Used TV ears but these are tons better and here's why - smaller so easy to pack when travelling, You can wear them with hearing aids so i can hear what my wife says during a program while TV ears must be removed to hear, can hear up to about 100' away while TV ears are only good when close, these buds are much lighter and more comfortable. I'm about as techie as a rock but even I could set these up. I think you will love, love, love em.

Work with 2 headsets at same time and allowed my TV’s sound out to work as well. Very Pleased!
Just got these after much research which included talking with Avantree customer service. I had questions and they were prompt to get me a replay both on live chat and via e-mail. These are everything I wanted to make my TV watching more comfortable. I am able to connect the earphones that come with this set in addition to a Bose headphone for my partner, who wears hearing aids. In addition, my TV sound out works so if more than two watching all can hear the TV. My TV is a new LG smart 8600 tv with it’s own bluetooth, but it was useless to connect more than one earphone at a time or get the TV sound out when connected via bluetooth...so I got the Avantree. Easy to connect and a two year warranty extension when product registered on Avantree’s site. Sound is very good...no lag. The volume control is easy to use and responsive. I like the voice prompt letting you know you are connected, but understand that can be turned off. These should work with most tv as there are lots of different cords as mentioned in the product description.

Plug and Play
I've been wanting some wireless head phones for the TV for sometime. I wanted them so I could hear the TV while on the treadmill, or when the husband had his computer game volume up to load for me. These not only does it play on the ear buds but also on the TV at the same time, they each have separate volume controls as well, so I can have the ear buds loader and the TV at a whisper. I was a bit worried about setting it up as it had a bunch of technical stuff about all kinds of stats and fetchers, I come from headphones being plugged into the jack. This is kinda similar there are a few more steps but I just had 3 plug ins and turned the earbud power on and it worked. They only downside is sometimes the base will turn on randomly when the TV if off, other then that I absolutely love it.

The soft Inserts on the headset were unsatisfactory.
The soft plastic earbuds which are used on the headphones were bothersome to my wife. She was disatisfied with all three sizes as not being comfortable to wear, and the sound did not come through clearly. I wear hearing aids and use headsets for suppressing loud noises at the gun club I belong to. I had to agree with her. The soft rubber inserts were not suitable. I had earbud inserts from other sound suppressor devices and selected a pair I thought would fit her ears. I installed them and she was amazed how much better the sound came through and with better clarity. The longer ear inserts were also more comfortable. Setting the system up for use with the TV set not difficult, although the directions could be better explained. She is quite happy with the headset now. And I can listen to the TV more comfortably as well.

Live performance approved!!
Even though it worked hooked up to my rig at home, I wanted to wait until I had the chance to test it out on a live set. It worked flawlessly! Most important - NO DELAY! I used it through three live sets on Sunday and it worked like a charm. Easy setup and I turned the earbuds off and on between services. It reconnected perfectly every time I came out on stage If you’re looking for a cheap wireless setup to use with your aviom (or other in-ear monitor system) this one does the job! Worth all 5 stars

TV Ear Buds
I got these so I could listen to the tv through the earbuds at a louder volume than my wife, who is listening to the TV speakers. It’s a crap shoot though. Some TV’s will mute the internal speakers if something is plugged into one of its auxiliary ports, and then only the earbuds work. I was lucky. Our M-Series Vizio TV did not mute its speakers, so now we can watch TV together and I can now hear what’s going on. Before, I had to have the volume too high on the TV speakers, as I’m a bit hard of hearing. This was annoying for her and we couldn’t both watch at the same time. Now we can. Avantree makes a good system for this, and it’s easy to install. I used the optical port and it works fine. The earbuds volume is completely independent of the speaker volume, meaning that she can turn the speakers up and down without changing my earbud volume. Perfect. The earbuds themselves sound good but not great. Maybe they are great and I just can’t tell. If one of you needs to hear the TV at a different volume, get this setup. If it doesn’t work they will happily refund you and suggest another product that might work. Avantree has a number of different solutions for TV audio. Also, this setup would make it possible to listen with the internal speakers completely off if someone is trying to sleep. I’m happy to have found a TV gadget that solves our audio problem. Thank you Avantree. We can stay married now. That’s worth $90 eh?

Works as advertised
I'm impressed so far with this product. It includes a few different cables, allowing you a few different connection options. The transmitter supports 2 headsets at once. The headphones boast a 17 hour playtime (at 60% volume). My Samsung TV says it can output audio to the TV speakers, a Receiver, or Optical. It turns out that it actually outputs to both the receiver AND optical when the receiver option is selected, and only optical when optical is selected. This is perfect! I didn't want to have to switch inputs or plug/unplug cables to switch from speakers to headset, and I don't. I can just mute the TV and turn on the earbuds. I connected the Avantree transmitter to my TVs optical out and one of it's USB ports and found a place to hang it on the back of the TV. The earbuds include 3 different sizes for both the rubber tips and for the weird protruding rubber things that rest against the our ear. Those weird things can also be removed if you don't like them. They are soft, not hard plastic. The wires on the earbuds are a weird flat cable type, and they tend to prefer to bend in their own way. Amazon is not providing the fell specs, so I will do that. The important thing to note is that the transmitter supports BT 5.0 and aptX LL. The earbuds are BT 4.1 and do not support aptX. Both devices support and use the proprietary FastStream protocol, but you can also use headsets that rely on aptX or aptX LL protocols with the transmitter. This combination is a good idea as it allows for an overall lower price on the combo yet also allows you to use other headsets that support aptX instead of FastStream. EARBUDS Bluetooth Version - V4.1 Audio codec support - FastStream, SBC Bluetooth Profiles - A2DP, AVRCP, HSP, HFP Operation Range - Class 2, 10m/30ft Music Time - 17 hours Frequency Response - 20Hz-20KHz Product Weight - 0.35 kgs TRANSMITTER • Model No.: BTTC-500P (Transmitter only) • Bluetooth version: V5.0 • Bluetooth profiles: A2DP, AVRCP • Audio codec support: aptX-Low latency, FastStream, aptX, SBC • Operating range: Class 1, up to 164ft/50M

If you need to hear the TV but don't want to wake the neighbors, this is for you.
I should have bought this years ago! The only problem I had was searching around in my Samsung TV settings and finding the one setting that allowed the TV sound to stay on and the headset at the same time. Once I did that, the unit has worked perfectly. The sound quality is incredible, so much better than my tv speakers and I don't have to bother anyone in the house with elevated tv volume. I like how compact the part is that goes around your neck and the batteries last a really long time between charges. The earpieces come with a variety of different size tips so you can fit your ears the way you want. This is so much better than having a big earmuff style that goes over your head.

Essential for Hard of Hearing to watch TV
This device has enabled me to enjoy TV movies again. I’m hard of hearing and my hearing aids are as good as they make. My TV has an added sound bar, but movies and shows come through with garbled conversation. Getting this Avantree transmitter with wireless earbuds changed this. For the first time in years I can hear conversation in movies and shows on TV. I researched the HT5006 along with similar transmitters and decided to go with the top rated Avantree. Its pass-through capability is one of its prime features. It turned out to be a wise purchase. From my perspective, they’re worth every dollar. I’m not dwelling on the sound quality of LL vs. HD, because I’m neither an audiophile nor in need of ANC headphones. To be fair, the earbuds could be improved, but I don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Since my TV doesn’t have a USB C 5 volt 2Amp output, I needed to buy a good multi-port transformer. In my opinion, Avantree could have done a better job stressing this requirement more than they do in their video instruction and manual. The USB C power supply is critical to its operation. Even reviews don’t make this clear. It needs one output for transmitter power supply and another for charging the earbuds. I’m not used to wearing earbuds, so I needed to get used to them. They’re comfortable, and in the future I can get a decent set of wireless earphones to pair with the second pairing capability of the transmitter. The earbuds don’t have a muting capability, but removing the buds is a good alternative to including an expensive muting capability. The Avantree earbud “harness” is all right, but takes a little getting used to. Small potatoes! I recommend this Avantree HT5006 (earbuds) without reservation, but if wearing earbuds is bothersome, I would just as easily recommend the HT5009 with the wireless headphones. If you’re hard of hearing as I am, you can’t do better. They'e essential.
