I was in the market for a used car and wanted to make sure as many thinks checked out as possible. I'm handy, but certainly not a professional mechanic. Dropping big bucks on a pro-level code scanner seemed silly. Plus, I wanted the ability to export the results and save them. This seemed to be the best option. Packaging and build quality are good. English wasn't the first language of the person who wrote all the material included (including in the app) but it's easy enough to understand. This plugs right into the OBDII port on your vehicle and gets power once you turn the key on. The connection process is simple. I used an iPhone but I can't see it being much more complex on an Android device. Once it detects your car, you can change it's name in the app and it'll know which vehicle is which. Good, clear readings. All of which seemed accurate. It was able to detect and clear codes on a couple vehicles I tested. From there, I was able to save a snap of all the diagnostics to the photos of my phone and/or email them to myself right from the app. For the price, this device is an excellent value. Even if you're not planning to do any work yourself, when that check engine light comes on, check it yourself before shelling out big bucks at a shop. You'll at least be a little better informed.

I just got this today and plugged it right in and took a drive. The instructions are extremely easy to follow and i didn't have a single problem connecting with the app at all. I feel that it tells you a lot about the vehicle and you can see whether things pass or fail. I also love that you can save the reports so I saved one while going 60mph and another while idling. I guess Ill update if anything goes wrong but so far so good!

I recently started getting into fixing my own car and I had a engine light pop up in my car. That's why i decided to get this. This scanner found out the code very quickly and told me i needed to change my oxygen sensor. It's built well so it seems like a device that's durable and will last for years. It's simple just plug-n-play and it does the job. For such a small device it does the job well. I'd recommend this to all my friends who are interested in fixing their cars themselves.

*Make sure you updated your cellphone and if you do update your system on cellphone reboot and then go download the application by scanning the paperwork inside. *Make Sure you check play store for app updates and update All apps as well then, *UPDATE PERMISSIONS OF APPLICATION FULL PERMISSION SETTINGS do this by long pressing the application and tapping the info button that appears. *Connect Bluetooth and pair / allow permissions **Lastly Open application and let the application do the rest and enjoy advantage of advanced diagnostic data that's vital to the vehicle and most importantly your money that will be saved from using this technology is THOUSANDS if you got a good mechanic or do it yourself as well.

Used this on my new-to-me Nissan Versa (2014). Luckily, it showed everything I needed, and confirmed there is nothing wrong with the car and no pending faults or any such. It works with their app, or with various other apps available if you don't like their app....but their app seems decent! Very important is to plug it in before starting the car, otherwise you may not be able to connect to the ECU.

I have used a pocket already in the past. I can certainly say that this OBD is more stronger sturdier and has a armored like body all around. You connected almost instantly once I downloaded the app into mobile phone then connected to Bluetooth through the app. The device got discovered on a territory car chords instantly. I could see that my car doesn't have any header codes returning. It also check my battery voltage and it looked perfect. It also was able to read the car profile like engine RPM VIN number etc. Beautiful storage box included. The perfect pocket OBD reader.

I really like this!! As someone new to auto mechanics this will be a very valuable tool for me. My car is 20 years old and I'm trying to restore all the neglect of the last 10 of it. Some things you can't see or hear or just plain don't know about. I'm still looking through trying to figure out all the options but I'm definitely impressed so far! The only thing I've found so far that could be better is the lack of instructions or a manual on each feature. Lots of features for the price! I would definitely recommend!

Packaged well. Like the plastic case the device came in. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Plugged into car's computer dock, downloaded the app from iTunes, followed the connection instructions and was receiving data from the car within seconds. I live in the People's Republic of California so I need to get my 2010 Challenger smog tested every two years. When I took the car in it fail because the driver's condition was not met. This occurs when you change the battery an the computer loses power. I bought the AUTOPHIX OBD2 so it would tell me all the smog conditions had me met and it did before getting the car re-tested. The plus is it gives you tons of other data on the car that I didn't know about. It's priced right so I'm considering purchasing on for all my cars.

Very happy with this scanner. I've become somewhat of a bluetooth junkie in that I use bluetooth with my phone in all kinds of ways... hands free calling (obviously), also bluetooth speakers while I'm working in the garage, and pairing with my new car's audio system. So when I opened this as a Christmas gift I was very excited. No more going out of my way to stop at the auto parts store to wait around and get my codes read. I'm somewhat of a DIYer and I try to fix issues that are within my capability so this devices now allows me to do simple diagnostics from the comfort of my own garage! I had never really thought of getting my own scanner because I figured they were for gearheads only, but makes it possible. It's such a small and convenient package and bluetooth capability makes it perfect for me. The app is well designed and useful too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is into troubleshooting as much from home as possible.

I'm running an old F150 (2004) for plowing snow. The Check Engine light came on, and I had to decide whether to drive to my local shop and pay them for a diagnosis, or get this device. I love my local shop and they obviously have to turn a profit, but I figured that the cost of the scanner would be less than the cost of having the shop do it -- and if the problem was a minor issue, I'd be out that cost. The Autophix paired with my iPhone immediately and got the code (and a plain-text explanation) very quickly. It didn't look like much of a problem to me (low coolant temp), so I cleared it and have been going about my business. If it comes on again and it's the same thing, then off to the shop I'll go. Bottom line: easy setup, quick diagnosis, easy to understand. Can't beat that!
