Extremely satisfied. Highly recommended
Amazing product! Was using a nzxt kracken x52 aio and it was keeping my cpu underload streaming 1600x900 60fps and gaming at 1080p 144hz was around 65c now with the NH-D15 under same conditions I am averaging 50c. This product is keeping my AMD Ryzen 3700x nice and cool. Also the temp for the stock cooler from amd i was around 75c under same conditions. Highly recommend and get yours quick if you want the LinusTechTips edition with Orange Accents!

Easily Tames Ryzen 3700X While Looking Good!
Easy to install and in a stomach-able color now! Whisper quiet and great temps on Ryzen 3700X. Thanks Noctua and LTT!

Absolutely Amazing
I recieved the LTT version which included two stickers, sixteen orange anti-vibration pads (for Noctua d15 fans only), a square metal badge that says LTT, and a card with Linus' signature. I'll agree with the others who say installation was difficult. I didn't have to remove my motherboard due to my case's design, but it was still difficult with only two hands and required a good bit of force to mount. This thing is huge, almost half the size of my mATX motherboard. The front d15 fan didn't fit due to the 24 pin connector being in the way, but I didn't expect it to. I replaced my 212 evo with this and fired up some stress test. My build is currently a 1080ti with a Raijitek Morpheus II Core heatsink and a Ryzen 1700 at 4.0ghz 1.4v (99th percentile, I get pretty lucky in the silicon lottery). With the 212 evo my temps were: CPU idle: 41C CPU load: 75C GPU idle: 22C (ambient) GPU load:62C After installing the d15, my temps are now: CPU idle: 32C CPU load: 66C GPU idle: 22C GPU load: 56C I expected my CPU to run cooler, I'm pleased with the 9C difference. I'm shocked that my GPU temperature decreased as well, I certainly wasn't expecting a 6C difference! It seems to do a great job of dissipating the heat inside the case. I did only gain 5 points on Cinebench, but it's SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than the 212 evo. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone with a decent sized case who doesn't want to get into water cooling, as well as anyone who wants their build to be as quiet as possible. This was the final nail in the coffin to give water cooling the middle finger.

A classic renewed
have not put it in yet but knowing noctua it will be great. looks amazing I'm glad I'm able to get this over the be quiet cooler. thanks Linus for the LTT version!

Amazing Performance, Equally Great Looking.
Works brilliantly, Performs perfectly, Looks stunning. Noctua's mounting design is so simple. Package includes a simple screw driver and thermal grease makes installation easy and next to impossible to forget anything you'll need. Being in Southern California, my 9900k idles at 32c but under load is sits at a cozy 60c. Even under sustained load (30 minutes) this cooler is silent. Only thing to watch out for is the height. My CoolerMaster H500 only squeaks by (with the front fan sitting right on top of my Corsair Vengeance Low Profile memory) with it nearly touching the glass. Adding onto that, when the front fan is installed it will mostly cover up any flashy RGB memory, and any memory modules with taller than average heat-sinks will make fitting that front fan difficult unless you have a case deeper than the CM H500. Although with a cooler this well performing, silent, and elegant looking, I really can't blame it for the size.

Out preforms most AIO water coolers!
I was so excited when LTT announced working with Noctua on an ALL BLACK cooler. I picked up this cooler to replace an All-in-one liquid cooler. This cooler beats the AIO hands down! My 9600k @5.2Ghz run about 28c at idle and 68c under load with Prime95. Best yet, it's almost completely silent. I can finally put a heavy load on my system without having to hear it! BUT it's HUGE. Make sure your case can fit it!

If you can fit it, get this instead of a cheap AIO.
Noctuas products exude quality. There is no comparison between this and a cheaply made price point developed asetek based AIO. If you have a case with great airflow and the space, get this. It will never leak, the pump will never fail, AND its quieter to boot. The mounting system is easily best in the industry. Much better than bequiets disaster. I have this in a Phanteks P600s case with an open mesh front panel. It cools a RYZEN 3950x. If you can manage this cooler, disregard all the talks about liquid cooling recomended. I use 4 Noctua NF-A14 PWM case fans, 3 intake, 1 rear exhaust. These case fans idle at 550 rpm and i have them top out at 1000 rpm. For the D15, I have it set via PWM to idle at 650 RPM. Under heavy load it speeds up to a maximum of 1200 rpm. NOTE: I ONLY RUN THE MIDDLE FAN. (1 FAN) At idle this setup is barely audible, at full load with my configs, its very quiet. Just a gentle woosh of air. My temps more or less like like this: Idle: 31c (ambient temp is 75F) Cinebench 20 min loop: 71c Gaming for 3 hours Division 2 at everything maxed ultra: 55c Aida 64 stress test, all boxes checked(also loads GPU, unrealistic test): 82c Prime95 small FFU all cores for 20 min (max heat): 72c. These numbers are easily as good or better than some larger AIO's/ Best of all its quieter and reliable. I am using Coolermaster Mastergel Nano as the thermal paste. This improved my temps by about 6c under load over the included noctua thermal paste. If you can fit this monster in your case and feed it cold air, Ignore AIO's. Those feel like cheap toys compared to this Austrian monster of a cooler. RECOMENDED x1000!!!

Aesthetics, Efficiency and Quality
Currently I am using this on an Ryzen 3600 and it works great. I bought it for the all black aesthetics as I wanted an all black (no rgb) build. I have good airflow in my case and generally can run the fans pretty quiet, if I max out the fans I can keep temps as low as 55-60 most of the time running mostly stock settings. The possibility of ram compatibility issue exists only if you have tall ram. If you find you have this issue you can do a few things to compensate: option 1) you can raise the fan blocking the ram by a few cm. Option 2) failing that [maybe you have height restrictions in your case] you can use a 120mm fan instead and this will give you around 64cm of ram clearance. If you have a super low power build it is possible to use the heat sink without ANY fans which was a cool little experiment a friend and I did. Overall I am really happy with it. Noctua did a great job providing an option for people who are looking for an all black CPU cooler.

Not the easiest to install, but far from the hardest
I got this to cool my new Ryzen 9 3950X. It does that quite well, and stays quiet. Even after a botched installation, which left some markings on the contact plate, the 3950X stays below 80C under a full load with little noise. With a more aggressive fan curve and a better installation, that could easily go lower. NOTE: When installing, you will have to put quite a bit of force on the second screw to get it to start threading onto the bracket. This is what caused my first installation to go wrong. Once you do that, it should be smooth sailing from there. It doesn't interfere with my G.Skill Trident Z Neo RAM. I moved the front fan up to accommodate the heatspreadders, and have no problems. EDIT: So my temps are a little higher, but the 3950X is a hot-running chip, and I have a quieter fan curve set. The chip still boosts hard and doesn't breach 85C. At some point, I plan on running a custom water cooling loop, but that time has not yet come.

Its HUGE.. and its POWERFUL... AND its Quiet..
I built my machine about 3 months ago.. but noticed while the NH-9DL did a good job with the i7-9700K. If I wanted to overclock, it got a bit toasty and unstable. So I looked at a AIO, and after seeing LinusTechTips review of the D15 decided to go with it. A few things I wondered and soon found out: #1 - I have 64GB of ram and noticed the D15 was a bit large, but figured give it a try. As you can see it clears the Ram, BUT didn't clear the other heat spreader on the MB.. ( NOCTUA did say that the second fan may not fit.. ) #2 - Although the other fan did not fit exactly where it needed it DID fit in the case about an 1" away from the fins.. and was a big improvement over the original case fan and was close to the intended location. #3 - If curious, YES the original motherboard mount for the NH-9D does work on the new fan so saved me that time and made install even easier. #4 - BONUS the 9D fan with the 15D springs FIT where the 15D Could Not !! So it was like having 3 fans on the cooler ;) #5 - ANOTHER BONUS - They give a number of extension cables for the Fans.. So I was able to mount the fans and get them all power. After doing all that.. I went and got to overclocking.. and stress testing.. I ran Cinebench R20, and custom set it to have 256 render threads to really stress the chip. I then ran them back to back to back until the chip wouldnt get any hotter.. ( an average of 6 times ). As you can see, the results speak for themselves. I went from : 89 degrees C when stress testing it in Default settings... to 64 degrees MAX when stress testing it WHILE IT WAS OVERCLOCKED !! I was MORE stable overclocked.. ! WOW and WOW and WOW.. Noctua hit it out of the park.. As for how loud it is.. it is a LITTLE louder than just the 9D.. but I can't tell you exactly how much as its not a lot. UPDATE: I downloaded OCCT and ran its burnin test, and got to 75C after minutes of maxing everything. The amazing thing is anytime it got off the overclocking settings the CPU dropped back to 35C in a matter of seconds. So unless your both overclocked to 5.1MGZ AND using a LOT of hardcore video or 3D Graphic editing for hours, I think the D15 will keep your system supercool. I personally overclock for gaming, and I DO BIM and 3D Scanning, so I have to process GB size 3D Point clouds, and convert them to Mesh.. THAT does force my CPU to run 100% for a hour to process. BUT even then I never saw higher than 70 and was rock stable the whole time. So I guess what I am saying is custom water cooling MAY do a tad better, but HIGHLY doubt a AIO could do any better at all, and especially not at this cost point and if your upgrading from a Noctua 9 or 12 you can reuse the fans with all the extras that come in the kit here.
