Not your mama's kitchen slicer. High quality, substantial multi-tasker.

What I liked: the glass base is very thick and heavy giving it a substantial heft. The slotted insert is handy for lifting food up out of juices in the bottom and/or rinsing things off and draining them. There are several slicing cassettes: thin slice, thick slice, julienne, wavy, a grater and even a zester, all of which fit in their own little caddy. I like the silicone mat that goes underneath to prevent the bottom from slipping while you are using it. I love that there is a lid for the glass bottom so u can just slip it right into the frig. I especially like the protective glove which comes with it. The instructions are clear that you should wear the glove even when using the finger guard although you can't use the finger guard when using the zester cassette for what should be obvious reasons. Overall I am very impressed with this handy multi-task gadget. Can't think of anything I disliked about it other than maybe the zester seemed like it could be sharper.

Would highly recommend

Super simple to use and clean. Love that I can use the container in the oven or freezer, depending on what I’m chopping. Also totally dig the caddy that stores all the separate cutting blade. It would be great if the manufacturer would consider using a larger grasping device for those larger vegetables, but I can work around that by cutting larger potatoes or onions in halves. I would also love to see the manufacturer use something other than plastic for the grasping device. That part could be studied. Overall, great product.

Very sharp and convenient

I live this slicer!!! I just used it to prepare hors d’oeuvres for my party and this helped cut my prep time in half! My only negative is once you are coming to the end of the item being cut, the last piece pretty much detaches and flys outward. So I had to clean the floor a few times

Super time saver!

I’m subscribed to several ‘meal delivery’ services, and when a meal says it takes 35 minutes, it usually takes me an hour, because prep time takes me forever. This cute little device is such a time saver, and it’s much better quality than I expected it to be for the price.

Great addition to my kitchen

I finally used my mandolin when I recently sliced potatoes. Wow, so much easier than trying to do it by hand and trying to get all the slices even, that was my husband's job. This is the main reason I purchased this particular item plus I love how it comes with the glass container and the pad to keep it from moving while you're using it. I don't know that I will ever use all the different blades that are included but hey, you never know, I might get creative some day. Very happy with this purchase.

Great product, Great price !!!!

For the price point I wasn’t expecting what I received. It slices, shreds, & dices (5 different blades) with ease & in half the time it takes me to do so manually. The glove & grip keep your hand/fingers safe while in use, strainer basket is a plus for washing produce once it’s cut as well. I used the glass container included to steam carrots & sweet potatoes once I had sliced them & it worked perfect, then set it on the included silicone mat so it wouldn’t harm my countertop (also oven safe). There is also a lid included to store whatever is needed afterwards but I haven’t needed that yet. Extremely satisfied!

More kitchen gadget love...

I've been vegetarian for a year and more recently chose to go vegan. After looking through some videos online I saw this pop up as a recommendation (not this specific one) to help make slicing veggies easier and to make things enough cut potatoes to make chips. I decided to try one out. Man, is this thing ever sharp! Slices through everything like butter! It comes with a warm mat in the even you heat the glass up in the microwave the lid, slicer, and a glove that apparently you can't cut through - you know, so you can keep all your fingertips where they belong 😂. It also has this little holder that all the slicing attachments are stored in like a deck of cards. Great little addition to my kitchen and very helpful as well.

Extremely well made

I was surprised that it comes with so many extra perks like the nonslip mat, a lid to make the thick glass container into a storage unit, anti cut gloves, and a handy drain basket. It’s definitely quality and easy to use (handle and anti cut gloves!) compared to the traditional grater that I normally use. I’ve scraped off skin using the normal ones.

Potato Duty a Breeze

Super easy to assemble and use. Breezed thru a dozen Russets and a couple of Vidalia's for dinner last night. First time I used it so i haven't used all the blades yet but if they perform like the slicer I used last night it's a walk off. With the potatoes being evenly sliced it all cooked evenly. I can't wait to try some of the other blades. Caution: these blades are super sharp and using the included safety glove is a wise choice when working closely with the blades. Highly recommend.

Glass shattered very first use

I was very excited by this mandolin! I set it up just as instructed, was very impressed with how well the silicon pad gripped the counter and held the glass nice and steady. I started making my waffle fries and it was easy peasy! Except after starting the second small potato, the glass shattered. Like it had been hit with a hammer. I had to spend 20 minutes carefully getting glass out of stuff on the counter and from where it fell on the floor as I jumped back in surprise. The box it came in had some slight damage on the outer corners, but I can only assume there was a small fracture in the glass that I didn't see. So if you order this, check the glass thoroughly before use. Update: I was given a full refund. I still highly recommend this despite the problem, just like I said, make sure you double check everything first!
