Great shave! Remington foil not in the same league.

For 45 years I shaved the traditional razor and shaving cream way. Close shave but time consuming. A couple of years ago I decided to go with the stubble look. It was great not having to shave for two or three days. I purchased a Remington F5-5800 Foil Shaver to use in lieu of the wet shave when I had the occasion to be clean shaven. It was highly rated but trying to cut three days growth was like taking a hedgehog to lawn. It was cheap but it is junk. What a difference this shaver makes. It made short work of a three day beard and didn’t miss any hair on my neck or chin. In fact, it’s almost a close a shave as the traditional route. The positive reviews for this are absolutely correct. Highly recommend.

This is the one

Of course I kept on using my old Norelco way longer than I should have. But the new models were more expensive and larger in size and I really liked the old one. But finally it wore out and I couldn't replace the worn out part, so I bought this one. Wow! This one has all the features that I liked in the previous model, and I was *amazed* at how much better the shave itself was. I can shave my face in the morning about twice as fast now. And that is compared to putting new shaving heads in my old Norelco. I love the features of this shaver. The charge lasts two weeks. You can clean it under running water. It has a pop-up trimmer. It has a battery level indicator. It charges fully in an hour. It has a good feel in your hand. It is compact. It comes with a shaving head cover and travel case. And I got it on sale. It's not the newest model, and you know what? That turns out to be the best thing about it.

A very close & comfortable shave

I bought this model to replace a Norelco PT730 that I had used for several years, including recommended blade replacement. It may well be that the new "five degrees" of movement is only marketing, but in my opinion this shaver gives me a closer cut and does not produce any razor burn. I have even progressed to shaving my whole head as well as my face.

Good shave, easy to use and clean

It's great for a quick shave and easy to rinse the shaver heads under a water faucet. There will be some shavings trapped in the wells of the rotating shafts that turn the blades but rinsing it after every shave will help reduce the amount. It's also useful to see how much power is left in the battery thanks to the indicators under the power button.

Nice shaver

I have had this for a month now. It's the nicest shaver I've owned, my last one was on the 80s so this is really nice. It took a while to adjust to shaving worth this, my neck would burn so I use after shave which helped a lot. I use it dry mostly. It easy to clean also, hit the button and it flips open. It's on a hinge side the head stays on while cleaning. I only have to shave about every 3 days.

nice affordable shaver

I used other shaver for more than 10years so I want to buy the one last many years. this is very good shaver better than the one I used before. easy to clean too.i read many reviews before I buy this shaver some people doesn't like this shaver but for me it is worthy it.

Getting Buzzed in Motown

I bought this Philip's Norelco Series 3000 At the same time I Also ordered the YQ500 Intelligent shaver. ( which had 7,000 + reviews) ( & was $21 cheaper) I did 50/50 shaves Followed up one shaver with the other Dry shave. I unplugged the Philip's Norelco Thursday Shaved my head & Face cheeks in the AM & PM ( twice a day for 4 days) Still holding a 70% charge. In full disclosure Neither shaver works well on my neck. Both leave red irratation marks, as Razor burn. Not sure if it's my lil hairs or the shaver. ( so back to the triple blade hand held razor-cream) So for a grade A+ On my head and face. D- on my neck. Lightweight Easy to hold in either my left or right hand. Noise level, quiet as I can shave and watch TV. Built in Mustache Side urn trimmer works well and is a huge Plus. Mesh travel bag is a bonus. Also a safety feature is, it will not run or operate while plugged in. Phillips Norelco 3000 has found a home. YQ500 is on its way back Thanks to "no risk Prime®" Wet shave.

Very good shave

Husband had surgery and needed an electric razor that was light and easy to use. This one is great. Good for someone whose strength isn’t enough to stand and shave with a regular razor.

Good value

So far no dislikes. I have had previous Norelco, batteries die after about 4-5 years, like a cell phone. so replaceable batteries would be nice, as the motors and heads seem to last beyond that. Of course I have beard some of the time, so not used every day for 5 years.

Always Norelco

I've always used Norelco and this new one does not disappoint. It holds a charge for quite a while and shaves close. The best thing is to be able to rinse it after shaving. It cleans right up like new. Did I mention it extremely quite? It's perfect for home or travel. It comes with a bunch of adapters for different countries' electrical outlets.
