- PDG MATTERS: PdG is the urine metabolite for progesterone – the hormone released by the ovary after ovulation. Tracking PdG days 7-10 after peak fertility can provide information about ovulation quality. Proov test strips empower women to track progesterone metabolite PdG at home. Problems with ovulation are the leading cause of infertility and can make it difficult to conceive.
- MORE INFORMATION THAN OTHER METHODS: One can also confirm ovulation through a progesterone blood test or BBT tracking. Blood tests need a trip to the doctor and/or waiting for lab results and can provide incomplete information. BBT can also miss the full picture and external factors can affect results. But Proov allows for consecutive days of PdG testing to understand ovulation quality. Contact us with questions!
- WORKS WELL WITH OVULATION AND PREGNANCY TESTS: An Ovulation test monitors Luteinizing Hormone (LH). These Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs) predict your fertile window. A pregnancy test monitors hCG and confirms pregnancy. Proov fills the gap, and answers "Did I successfully ovulate to have chance to conceive?" by tracking progesterone metabolite PdG, providing new, critical information.
- 99% ACCURATE AND FDA-CLEARED: Clinically validated, Proov is the first and only FDA-cleared at home PdG test. Studies have shown that Proov test strips are 99% accurate for detecting the progesterone metabolite, Pregnanediol Glucuronide (PdG), in urine. Published studies have shown that PdG correlates to progesterone levels in the bloodstream.
- 1:1 SUPPORT INCLUDED WITH EVERY PURCHASE: Proov was invented by a PhD scientist, infertility veteran. We are passionate about helping other women through their journeys. We will provide 1:1 support to anyone needing help with using Proov or interpreting results via email or social media.

Blood levels seem to correspond with these strips
I used these test for 3 months, and each time the test line would start to fade which indicated possible progesterone production. However, the line never fully disappear which would suggest progesterone reached 10. On the 3rd month of using these tests I decided to try conceiving. As previously stated the test line indicated that my progesterone did not reach 10. I knew I needed to have my progesterone tested as soon as I got a positive pregnancy test. I did get pregnant, and my progesterone levels came back at 9.4 and I was immediately put on progesterone supplements. The photo shows a light test line which to me suggested that I was almost at a 10, so I wasn't surprised when my blood work came back at 9.4. That being said, you can ovulate even if your progesterone doesn't reach 10 (or if the line doesn't disappear). ** Update- I continued to use these test strip while pregnant and taking progesterone supplements. When I started spotting I used a test strip and sure enough my progesterone had dropped below 10 while on supplements. I went to the obgyn and was diagnosed with miscarriage #3. These tests told me my pregnancy was failing as progesterone should not drop while pregnant especially while on supplements.

Not Expensive "Pee Sticks" -- Cheap Peace of Mind!
I was a little hesitant about purchasing these tests at first. Compared to 25 cent bulk HCG and LH strips, ~$5/test seemed ridiculous! However, these are relatively new tests that were just approved mid-2016, so production is low and costs are high. I suspect the cost will go down over the next few years, but it's totally worth the five bucks now, I'd say! The good news is that, unlike HCG or LH strips you really only need one of these a month if you're charting your cycle well and can pinpoint your LH surge. The window of opportunity to catch a progesterone surge is fairly large and reliable for most women, so it's not the kind of thing you need to test every day. Also, if it takes you a while to TTC and you go through the whole pack, at least you know that you either reliably ovulate or don't reliably ovulate, and so your next step is probably going to either be "relax and stop doing the progesterone test" or "make an appointment with your doctor" depending on your findings. They're not so much "expensive test strips" as "a very cheap source of excellent information." I found them to be easy to use, test results were clear, and they performed as expected! Good luck!

Thank God for this product!
As someone with PCOS, I love this product because I never know when or if I ovulated. Truly one of kind product, there is nothing else like it on the market. I will warn ladies that even with confirmed ovulation via blood/progesterone test, I was still seeing the faintest of faintest second line. The product instructions says that even a faint line is considered negative, but with me the second line did not entirely disappear. I've posted a picture of a positive...the second line isn't that visible from the picture.

Useful if you track your cycle
I am currently Trying To Conceive and wanted to get more insight into my cycle and if my body is doing what it is supposed to do. I have already been tracking my cycle daily using BBT, CM, and LH strips. When I learned about these strips I knew that they would help me know more about the element of my cycle that was still unknown, was my body producing the appropriate amount of progesterone on its own. After reading others reviews about not getting a positive reading, I did a lot of research on when progesterone levels should peak in the cycle and found that it is typically between 7-10 days after ovulation. Using this knowledge, I first tested on 7 days post ovulation and got a very slight line (negative) on the test still. So I knew that I would continue to test to better understand my cycle. Day 8 post ovulation I tested again and then got a positive test. My recommendation is to be pretty familiar with your cycle before you start using these strips (as they are kind of pricey) so that you know when to actually start testing with these to get accurate results. Overall, these are a great product that does what they say they do, and I will most likely buy again.

Positive Result 3 Days Post Peak Fertility
I am pleased with the Proov test and elated there is a test available to confirm ovulation. Which help me even more on my TTC journey. Fertility can be overwhelming to say the least, the more I am able to learn about my body the better. I had a very early miscarriage at 5 weeks in 2017. I am currently TTC our rainbow baby. So I started doing research and I learned about progesterone and its role in the early stages of pregnancy. Something I never knew about before! I’ve never had my progesterone tested. My GYN recently gave me a referral to see a RE. But before spending hundreds of dollars on testing; I figured if I could test for ovulation and pregnancy at home, why not progesterone?! I decided to search for an at-home progesterone test and found Proov. Here are my results: Aug 26:CD 8 I took baseline test which was negative Sept 2: CD 15 Peak fertility- Positive LH Surge using OPK Sept 5: CD 18 I was 3 days past peak fertility and began testing to confirm ovulation. I used natural progesterone cream. Sept 6: CD 19 Proov test-Negative; I started having some brown spotting; immediately began to suspect this was due to low progesterone Sept 7: CD 20 Proov Negative; more brown spotting Sept 8: CD 21 Proov test- Negative, very faint pink line visible; however PDG seem to be near rising when compared to baseline test; I continue to have more brown spotting. I use the natural progesterone cream, then discontinue using it because I read in the Q&A section of the Proov instructions that natural progesterone could affect the results. *Sept 9: CD 22 Proov test-Negative, very faint pink line visible on test strip; brown spotting continues; after checking with “Dr. Google” I thought the spotting may be due to implantation or low progesterone *Purchased more of the Proov test because the instructions stated to stop testing when Proov tests turns positive (single line). I really wanted to see if I would in fact get a positive result with a single line. Moreover, I want to gain more knowledge about my reproductive health and my body. Also, I was elated that the tests arrived the very next day with Prime shipping. I am a POAS addict, even a day felt like a week lol. Kudos to Amazon for next day shipping!!👏🏽 Sept 10: CD 23 Proov test- Near positive, PDG appeared to be near rising; scant brown spotting Sept 11: CD 24 Proov test- Positive?? Near Positive?? PDG rising?? The test appeared positive at 5 minutes then a faint pink line started to appear after about 7 minutes, at 15 minutes a second line was clearly visible. I was a bit confused, I thought test remain positive if my PDG was over 5 ug/ml?; also continued to have brown spotting. Sept 12: CD 25 Proov test -Positive?? Near Positive?? PDG rising?? The test appeared faintly positive at 5 minutes then a pink line started to appear after about 7 minutes, at 15 minutes a second line was clearly visible. I continued to have brown spotting which was unusual for me. I’ve experience spotting during previous cycles, but not off and on for nearly a week. So I contact my GYN and she had me come in right away. I had a pelvic exam and turns out I had an endometrial polyp, which I’ve never had before. My GYN removed the polyp and ordered additional testing. Sept 13: CD 26 Proov test- Positive??. Only 1 line. (There was a very, very faint pink line at 15 minutes, however per the instructions, results are not to be read after more than 15 minutes). Decided to test the next day for good measure. Sept 14: CD 27 Proov test- POSITIVE. Single line only. No faint lines. Ovulation confirmed. See picture #1 for positive test result on 9/14 See picture #2 for comparison of the Proov test I took today 9/14 to my baseline test taken on 8/26. See picture #3 for my Proov test progression lines. I wanted to share my experience using the Proov test for the first time. Sometimes I read reviews and expect my results to be the same as others but everyone body is different. Using the Proov test gave me some really valuable info about my body. Highly recommend giving the test a try. *UPDATE 12/1/19 I am currently 3 days post peak fertility. I took a Proov test today and got a positive result! I am so excited to be able to confirm ovulation. I’m scheduled to have blood work done soon. Seeing a positive result just makes me feel so happy. Baby dust to all my mamas on this TTC journey.

BFP after first month of using Proov Strips
After my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 13 cycles we decided to use proov tests to track my progesterone levels. I had a randomly long cycle where I ovulated on day 28 (usually very regular 28/29 day cycles) and I would have missed ovulation if it wasn’t for proov giving me a negative result after some false LH surges! After I ovulated proov confirmed it and has proven that my progesterone levels have been staying high! We got our big fat positive pregnancy test yesterday and are over the moon for our first baby. 💗💙 We are forever grateful for Proov and we will for sure come back when we try for baby #2!

Definitely recommend!!
We have been trying for baby#2 for 5yrs. I already knew I had a progesterone issues along with as few other issues. I ordered these to help confirm ovulation after doing a medicated cycle and to confirm that my progesterone suppositories were continuing to work. I tested at 4dpo and I got a positive Proov test, results were easy to read. I then started my progesterone and usually around 7dpo or 8dpo I'll start spotting. I retested again at 7dpo and again Proov test was still positive! This was great news. It meant that my new dose of progesterone was doing its job and the test helped me confirm this as well as confirm that I did ovulate when I thought. I am now happy to say that I am almost 11ws pregnant with our rainbow triplets!! I definitely recommend these test! They are worth the price and you can also use the infotainment you gather from testing and inform your doctor if you are having short luteal phases, or not having a positive proov test. This can help them, to help you!

Wonderful. READ THE DIRECTIONS. And join the Facebook group for support and questions.
Proov tests have been a game changer in building my confidence with charting my cycles. I've been using them for over a year to confirm ovulation (since I already know that I have low progesterone and don't need them as much for that purpose). I also chart temp and mucus signs, but these are an important confirmation for me when things look confusing. Make sure when you use them to FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Taking a baseline test before you ovulate is important - because your progesterone may be too low to turn the test completely positive, but high enough to confirm ovulation (if your post peak proov is lighter than your baseline, it's enough to confirm ovulation, and then you can also test later in your luteal phase to see if progesterone is high enough to sustain the beginnings of a pregnancy). Take photos of the test within 5-10 minutes of testing because the results are invalid outside of that window. Use first morning urine. Did I mention you should read and follow the directions? ;) There is also a Facebook group for Proov users that is super helpful with asking questions, posting test photos, etc. So join that if you can because it will help to talk to people about the process, because these tests are different than other kinds of test strips. In all, I'm super happy with these. They have saved me a LOT of bloodwork appointments, and anxiety of making sure I marked the right ovulation date on my chart. They seem pricey, but you only need to use 1-4 tests per cycle (your baseline is good for 6 months, and you don't need to test every day post ovulation to get the info you need), so they last a while. I use them every cycle and buy about 3 packs per year. Totally worth it to save the hours of waiting at a bloodwork appointment, having to take off work to go during lab hours, etc. when I can just pee in a cup. If you do discover that you have low progesterone, then this is really helpful to bring to your doctor and talk about getting a post peak bloodwork series done to get more information, and hopefully a prescription for bio-identical progesterone to support your body (and a pregnancy) if you need it.

Wonderful product, superb customer service.
This is a wonderful product for understanding and tracking fertility more accurately. The directions are clear and the sticks are easy to use and read. The customer service is superior - they’ll even help you decipher your results! One of my sticks had a strange dye run (perhaps from user error, as it was only the second time I tested) so I requested assistance in reading it. Not only did I receive an answer within the hour, I was also sent replacement strips and a couple silly “P” cups. This company truly cares about helping couples navigate fertility. I wholeheartedly recommend this product and company.

Great tool !!!
I bought these strips to get to know my body better as I'm hoping to have a second baby in the nearish future. I have a history of luteal phase defect and low progesterone (I know from temp.charting and bloodwork). I struggled to conceive my daughter and quickly got pregnant after following my gut and using progesterone supplementation. Stayed on till my body kicked in in the second trimester and carried her to almost 42 weeks! Postpartum I've had around 9 day luteal phases. It's been hard to fully confirm ovulation as temping accuracy is limited bc I am up a few times a night and lh strips alone arent that amazing bc I have a condition similar to pcos in addition to the luteal phase issue. It was so nice to see to confirm ovulation and get a positive for a few days. Interestingly just as suspected my proov strips turned negative on 9dpo. So this shows that I have adequate progesterone up until that point but I need it a few days longer to have optimal levels for implantation. Interestingly the cycle I used the strips I ended up having a significantly longer lp than ive usual (or possibly an early chemical pregnancy) so it will also be interesting and valuable to do this on a different cycle since this one wasn't average for me! (Tho what is "average" for a nursing mama lol)... I plan to continue to use these to.see if my LPD resolves this time over time (as can happen with nursing mothers) or if it continues to exist as it did prepregnancy and if so I plan to get some supplementation.
