I’ve needed one of these laptop tables for like ever now because I’m one of those who comes home from work, climbs up on the bed, puts my laptop where it was designed to go, in my lap and sits watching tv while half concentrating in my work. After a while, as most know, my lap begins to heat up as does my laptop. I can hear it’s fan straining to cool it off but, of course, it vents out the bottom. So....I’m browsing Amazon as I’m apt to do every day for sundries I don’t really need when I came across a laptop table and so then had to begin browsing the many. They are really all mostly the same but then I saw this is sold and shipped by my favorite camera maker, Wansview, so I decided to give it a try. It arrived to me well packaged. It has a basic instruction sheet, not that you need it as it is all very straightforward. You can check out my video for a look. It is plenty wide enough for my 17” laptop and still has space to the right for a mouse. One thing they did not consider is a way to swap the pieces for a left hander, so lefties, pay attention to this. There’s a piece at the bottom to hold the laptop on the desk and there’s a silicone piece on the right to support your wrist when using the mouse. This also serves as a stop for the mouse. The table has a USB connector that powers a laptop fan inside the table which is perfect for my bottom venting laptop. The leg height is adjustable and my favorite thing is the buttons at the top of the fold away legs also allows me to adjust the angle. I can achieve a perfect ergonomic angle for typing. After I got this I found I needed it more than I realized. It then folds flat and rests against the side of my bedside table out of the way and out of view. It could also easily just go under the bed. So glad I got this! You will be too!

My daughter, like a lot of kids, has been doing school from home and she's often in various places around the house, sometimes balancing her laptop on this or that and we decided that she needed something a bit better to work against, but still very portable and compact. This little mini desk fits the bill perfectly! I've been using it a fair bit as well, and I've come up with several use cases for it. I've used my laptop and my tablet both from the bed, couch, floor, etc. It's great to support everything and keep it off the bed to keep things cool, plus I hate when my keyboard moves around when I'm trying to type so this keeps everything solid. And believe it or not, it fits PERFECTLY in my office chair and I can lean back and use my laptop comfortably. I tried it on a whim and I've done it multiple times since! I've also trialed it out as a standing desk riser, sitting it on my existing desk and putting the main keyboard on it. It works great, with the exception that the monitors are too low for this kind of use. But it is an option, it's plenty sturdy enough, plenty adjustable enough, etc. I use an MX Ergo, which means I don't need much room at all for my mouse. So my 14" laptop works just fine on this. However, if you use a normal mouse your space might be a bit cramped if you're on a 14, certainly a 15. I think a 12 or 13 would be plenty of room. Either way you can make it work fine, just not a lot of room to throw the mouse around. Just a few things to note about it.. It's very lightweight, but seems sturdy enough to hold just about anything as the legs are quite sturdy and the "feet" are very wide (11 inches) so no hobbling, even on the bed, couch, etc. The feet on the legs are also very square to each other, so there's no annoying wobble or anything when on a flat hard floor. I do wish the feet were rubber, not the hard plastic they are, but that said so far I haven't used it in any situation where this was an actual concern. The angle and height are quite adjustable and I never felt myself needing it to adjust any more or less, it's got just the right amount of granularity to it. And the leg folding and raising mechanism are very sturdy and click positively into place so I don't think there's any chance you would collapse this by accident in any directions. The legs do fold in from the sides to the middle for storage, but they are angled out a bit and have a reasonably strong resistance to being folded in. Again, I don't see this collapsing in normal use in any direction. One of the pictures I've added demonstrates how far back the legs will lean and how tall they'll get. I've not yet found a position I'm in that the desk won't match. There are a few minor negatives to point out.. The lip that keeps the laptop from sliding down is rather tall and it's made out of a hard plastic. It is taller than most laptops and not very comfortable if your arms are laying across it. That said, my arms tended to be off to the sides of it so it isn't a real big deal and it does come off so you could put it on only when necessary if it is in the way. The fan grill should be recessed so the top of it is flat with the rest of the desk; a lot of laptops have very short feet and if your laptop sits on this instead of on its own feet it will not be very stable, might move around. That said, we have 3 laptops in the house and all three sit on their own feet and very securely on the desk. I've used the fan only once and it was very quiet, although it did not seem to move a lot of air. However that said, sometimes it doesn't take a lot of air to circulate heat out from under the laptop. I also have a few suggestions to maker of the desk.. One I already mentioned; rubber feet would be nice. The other is a way to route and clip the USB cable under the desk in case you don't need it. You can route the cable around the grill a bit, but it doesn't really stay in place. Some small clips would work here. And maybe consider a shorter, or more rubbery bit for the lip that holds the laptop in place. I like that it can be removed, but I feel if it were shorter and a bit softer it wouldn't ever be in the way.

When purchases furniture (if you can call it that) from Amazon, going for a cheaper option usually involves getting poor quality of janky joints. However, when this arrived, I was surprised to see it come almost completely assembled and ready in seconds, but also very strong. When the joints lock into place you can really feel them stick and not want to move, its super easy to change the incline, though the height adjustment can be a little sticky in a bad way, but I wont dock points for that. The fan, while good for some ventilation, wont help with most computers, especially since this kind of cooling for laptops is a bit outdated and the fan itself isn't incredibly strong, ( and yes, I know the Surface Pro doesn't have any internals over the vent, I'm talking about other laptops I've owned and worked on). In a search for a nice laptop table in my room lacking furniture, this is perfect and I'll still give it 5 stars, though you may want to wait for a bit of a sale, since in the end it is just a small table.

Unfortunately, I have to edit this review. Just a couple of days in and my son brings his laptop to me with some type of oily chemical smelling substance on the bottom. The shape and the area this substance was in was in the exact location of where the fan blows from this desk. It was happening the first day or so so I'm unsure what it is....perhaps some kind of lubricant leaking from the fan system? I could tell he was disheartened but we cleaned it off and he said he would just use it without the fan. The very next day I hear him yelling and go into his room to find that his laptop is in the floor with a busted screen. There he sits on his top bunk with this laptop desk with a broken leg on his lap. Unfortunately it was the side closest to the edge of the bed so when the leg gave it caused his laptop to slide off and hit the floor. Very upset about this and returning this defective item....just wishing I had returned when it became apparent that the fan wasn't quite right. I have to say that I am really impressed with this laptop desk. I bought it for my son because he spends alot of time on his laptop and had begun complaining with upper back and neck pain. I knew it was from having his laptop sitting on his bed and being slouched over to work on it. I picked this laptop desk because it had all the features I was looking for at a great price. It is very sturdy considering how light weight it is. It raises up and down, as well as tilts, so you can get it in just the right position for your needs. There is also a wrist rest to help prevent wrist fatigue (or worse...carpal tunnel!) It also has a built in fan which is a handy feature as well. My son hasn't been using it long, but has already said his back and neck pain are gone and added that I'm the best mom in the world....so you can't beat that!

This was exactly what I was looking for when working from home due to quarantine. It was ready-to-use out of the box. The buttons for adjusting height and tilt are easy to use while seated. The desk remains stable even when on uneven quilts and bedding. The desk is of a sturdy construction with a bumper on the bottom of the tray so my laptop cannot slide off. I like the built in fan to keep my device cool. The USB port stores tightly under the desk while not in use. That is a plus since I dislike dangling cords. The desk surface is solid and easy to disinfect. My laptop is large with a 17" screen and fits fine on the desk with extra room on the side to put my planner and a pens. The best feature is the folding legs. This allows for quick and compact storage when not in use. For me, working at home is not convenient but this makes it easier to be comfortable, have a cup of coffee, watch the morning news, and keep up with my work e-mails. Keeping devices on a work platform helps with posture and fatigue due to slumping over the keyboard while balancing the computer on your lap. I would recommend for adults and kids.

I am using this on top of my dresser as a pseudo-standing desk in my bedroom (for a fraction of the cost) and it's amazing! The adjustable legs adjust both up and down but also tilt forward and backward so I can adjust it to the perfect height and angle for easy typing. An added benefit of this is I am able to store stuff under the tray on top of the dresser in the space that my laptop used to sit in as the tray raises the laptop off the dresser. The included fan is plenty powerful enough to help cool down any modern laptop, but quiet enough I don't even hear it over the normal buzz of my laptop. Between the added airflow of the fan and the added circulation caused by getting the laptop up off the surface of things it stays nice and cool. It simply plugs into your laptop via USB for power. It's perfectly solid and stable on hard flat surfaces but is a tad bit more wobbly than I would have liked on my pillowtop bed mattress when using it as a lap tray but it's still perfectly usable for this and it doesn't really negatively impact its usability. Overall the build quality is definitely above average for the price seeing as there are much more expensive lap trays that are worse built.

If you'd rather work from your bed as opposed to sitting at a desk then this is the solution. It's very light-weight and I find myself able to lift it along with my MacBook with one arm. It folds away nicely in a matter of seconds. My favorite feature is the built-in cooling fan. My MacBook often gets hot but not anymore! There is plenty of space for a laptop and mouse. It's able to raise and lower for the perfect adjustment to fit all sizes of users. Once you set your desired height you can also adjust the tilt to give you a comfortable typing position. My right hand normally cramps from holding the mouse but since I've purchased this stand I have not had any discomfort. The legs are made from aluminum which provides strong but lightweight support. The tabletop is made from high-quality plastic. I'm really satisfied with my purchase but I do find it to be a bit expensive. Also, the buttons and latches used for adjusting are made of plastic. For the price, I feel these should also be made of metal. I do believe this table will last a long time. There are also stoppers positioned at the bottom that prevents your laptop or mouse from sliding that I've found to be very helpful. I will most likely need to purchase a spare because my wife is always using it.

I bought this adjustable laptop desk so that I can stand (and spend less time sitting) while I work on my laptop computer. The tabletop surface has a nice wood grain appearance and feel. In fact, the entire unit feels pretty sturdy (when I bought it, I was afraid that it would feel flimsy or shaky, but it is neither). The height adjustment relies on a button on either side to set the leg height with pre-set notches, which ensures that each side has the same height. The angle adjustment works the same way, with pre-set notches to ensure that each side has the same angle and lock in place. The height and angle adjustments are intuitive and very easy to use; I don't think anyone would need instructions to figure them out. The table has a built-in fan that plugs into your laptop via USB cable (if you want to use it), to cool your laptop. The fan is silent, but you can tell it is working because it makes a gentle breeze if you put your hand over it. The table folds very flat -- it is 2 inches high when folded. The table is pretty light, so it can be carried easily from room to room and stored away when not in use. Overall, it's a nice addition for the laptop.

This has SO many uses! I started using it as a table when I’m reclining and having to do homework, because I just sat at my desk all day and now want to sit on the couch- perfect. Also, great for eating off of. Then I decided to use it on my desk to set my laptop on and put my mouse under it because I also have a large monitor- this is so much better than my laptop sitting further back and I had to squint to see the laptop. THEN, I realized I can stand up and still work off of it. Next, it’s going in the car with me because I sometimes work when driving with my husband (he’s doing the driving, of course) and I can use this so I’m not hunched over. It feels sturdy- I only wished I purchased this sooner!

I’ve purchased multiple laptop desks over the years and so far this one is the sturdiest and easiest to use. It works nicely whether I’m sitting on the bed or couch. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a new laptop desk. Pros: ~ easy to use/straight forward ~ arrives assembled ~ adjustable height & angle ~ buttons are not difficult to press/maneuver (easy for arthritic hands/other health issues) ~ easy storage for at home or on the move ~ removable baffle (for holding laptop in place if needed) ~ fan is pretty quiet (not silent) ~ place for a mouse ~ wrist rest ~ good price for what you get ~ could be used for other activities (reading) ~ holds my older (heavy) and new (light) laptops My only wish is the fan cord was detachable (I have cats who like to chew). Overall I’m happy with my purchase and recommend.
