Update: Upon seeing my frustration, the company reached out within a couple hours . I have to admit the customer service is some of the best I have experienced (regardless of price point). They were very personable and wanted to help me use it correctly. This time went much better and will definitely purchase again. I do still suggest a practice pad - use until it is dry, the more you do the easier it gets. Then the 2nd pad for the final print. Product is quality, user (me) was the variable. *Best to have subject laying down and use a book or something as a flat surface. ******** I loved the no mess and the theory behind it however, you can only use once contrary to the instructions. If your subject moves (scrunches toes or moves unexpectedly) you wasted the product. Also you absolutely must lift straight off or you get a glorious smear print.

Works great, just slightly more difficult with an older baby.

I love the fact that I was able to do this without having to smear ink or paint on my baby’s hand. That being said, this is better for a baby who is still in the sleepy stage or a child who can understand what you are doing and listen. My 8 month old who grabs everything, not so much. I did hand and foot on a Father’s Day card, and a book that is a gift. The first foot I did okay with, but pushed a smidge too hard. I tried to press lighter with the hand, but then of course, she is very grabby and didn’t really want to participate. So then I did the book and I forgot about putting the book on a flat surface and put it on the bed, so that’s why it’s a little less complete, and she pulled away, so it smeared. Then the hand, still on the bed and she grabbed the ink pad and pulled away. Smearing the ink and ruining the ink pad. I probably could have done a few more prints if she hadn’t destroyed it, and definitely had I not pushed so hard on the first print. Overall, I like the product, it’s just hard with my baby’s age. And I do like the results. Not perfect, but there is no perfect with a baby.

Good for pets too

I did have an issue using this product, but I think it deserves 5 stars because my issue was trying to get a paw print from my dog's tickly foot. It was difficult for me to get a print without smearing - she wouldn't stand still, and after the first try she bolted when she saw me with the ink pad. I got a solid print on my fifth try, so it really is reusable. The hardest part was lifting her paw straight off the pad after pressing it on. I think a baby would cooperate better, plus a baby has no claws to worry about. Good product, great gift. I recommend it.

The best customer service and a great product

I ordered this to surprise my wife with our babies foot print for Valentines day. When I received it in the mail the package had gotten squeezed so the ink had imprinted on the plastic container. I emailed the owner and without question, hesitation, or needing to return the first one, another was in the mail. They also knew I was using it for Valentines Day and the replacement one arrived on the 13th. That meant a lot to me as this was the heart of my gift. I had also ordered another ink pad from a different company. That one was dull and barely left the footprint to the point where I did get a refund for that one. This ink pad from Tiny Gifts has very vibrant ink. I loved creating the little footprint and will be ordering more. The best customer service and product I have gotten in a long time.

Great customer service

Right after I received this product, I got an email from the seller just making sure my ink pad arrived ok since they have been experiencing issues with damage from shipping handlers. Well my product was damaged so I reached out and they quickly responded and sent me a new one! I even accidentally typed my address incorrect after they already shipped it and they sent another to the correct address without hesitation even though it was my fault. The product is great and very easy to use! No mess and a great keepsake for a great price! Highly recommend!

So perfect!!

My grandson was born at a birth center. At the birth center, no keepsake birth certificate with footprints are made. The little guy was so tiny compared to my daughter. I pulled out her old keepsake birth certificate with her footprints on it to compare to his little feet. All of this made us want my grandsons prints to keep too. I imagined it would be a messy job, but then found this product. It was perfect and worked so well. No messy ink to deal with at all. The baby book I bought for my daughter had a page for foot and hand prints so we were able to put them in the book. We also made prints on card stock to save for later. The next day I came home from work and my son-n-law had taken the footprint to a tattoo artist and already got a tattoo of it! They were very excited and happy to have his prints saved. I highly recommend it!

Ideal gift for baby shower or an animal lover

I gave this as part of a birthday present to my sister in law. She wanted them for her dogs nose prints and paw prints. Not everyone has human children, some have furry children which they love just as much.

Great for pawprints!

We use these to get our dogs' pawprints. We need clear prints as I get tattoos of their right front paws. These work beautifully..without the mess. When done correctly, you can see every whirl and tuft of fur. I bought several more to have on hand.

Super easy, clear print

Used this to get a paw print of my boyfriend's dog for a laser engraved gift, it worked great. Did a couple tries just to be safe, and the print does fade the more ink you use, but I had no issues with it. His paw was just the right size to fit inside the ink plate, he's 65lbs and it might even fit a slightly larger dog too, but not by much. Would definitely buy again.

Just an ink pad - no paper

Bought this to do footprints and handprints for my newborn. Worked out well! Only comment would be that no paper was included. Other similar products I’ve purchased in the past include card stock with the ink pad. We had computer paper so we were able to get the prints but it’s not going to look as nice in her baby book. Not a deal breaker but worth noting!
