The case is rock solid. You can turn it upside down and shake it and bits and sockets stay in place. The spring in the handle holds bits more than a magnetic one would as well. Just the right selection of bits too . You can tell who ever chose the bits does a lot of work with this type of tool set. Also like that in every row there is room for a bit that by some slim chance doesn't come with the set, or for spares. Everything is a bit tight at first, but loosens up nicely with use. The bits are surprisingly strong for a set under a $100 dollars. I have a can of liquid wrench right next to this set in my tool drawer for that reason. Have broken very expensive bits with my big ole bear claws. Highly recommend.

Very Handy

Very handy set...I purchased this to leave in my truck and it has already come in handy on a few occasions. The case is small enough to slide under the back seat and has most of the sockets you will need. Nice emergency set or simple home set. Obviously, if you are a "tool" person, this set would be a little light for you...but it is a lot easier to lug around than a 200 piece monster set. The case locks well and it's nice that you can see the sockets without having to open up the lid....though I'm not sure how durable it is going to be...does not seem as tough as the black case I have with another Dewalt set.

Best set to get

Has a very complete set with no sizes skipped. I was hoping just to get the most commonly used sizes but it seems they included them all! Needed this to downgrade from deep socket impacts for hand setting nuts. I already had flex head ratchets but the straight one included in this set is very nice. I like the 1/4" and 3/8" profiles and feel good adding them to my tool collection. previously I only had 1/2" and a proprietary set of pass through sockets that do not work on universal ratchet arbors. Despite having a complete sets of sockets the case is small and durable. I feel relieved knowing that I do not have to buy a bunch of cheap sets to cobble together what I need as it would burden me with unnecessary tool redundancy and wasted space trying to manage numerous bulky cases. They did an above board job giving more sizes than I needed in such a compact cases. I must take take not to crack the cover. If I do then duck tape it or manufact a new one. This is a very competent and complete set.

Heavy duty ratchet, durable socket, solid case! Great for home and auto

I'm a fan of DeWalt products and this is definitely another winner. As someone that links to tinker with home/auto equipment, this set has kept me moving. No broken sockets and a ratchet that gives good weight and feels solid in your hand. The case itself is a standard DeWalt case that should not crack easily. The sockets are well made and durable. Going from 3/8" to 1/4" all in the same set is another bonus. I do recommend grabbing a 1/4" and 3/8" drive tool accessory set (15 pieces) to go along with this as well. That has come in handy more times than I can count. Having both of those should get most everything you need done as a standard homeowner/auto tinkerer. For those heavy, heavy bolts, grab a 1/2" set with a breaker bar. Great tools and zero complaints!

5 star for organization

I love this thing. Yes you can go to harbor freight and buy a million piece bit set for $2. That's what I did before I purchased this. Well the harbor freight case was awful. It got all mixed up. When it rained in my truck the harbor freight case allowed all the moister in and the bits started to rust. I had the harbor freight, got frustrated and bought this set. I love the dewalt socket set version of this and decided to purchase this bit set. It is awesome. Less pieces with a really good organized case. I use it all the time. I can quickly find the bit I need. The screw driver portion is high quality and sturdy. I do wish it came with a adapter to use the bits in a drill or impact driver. I just got a cheap one and keep in the case next to the screw driver so no big deal. Organization and a quality case tumps everything.

The driver and bits are made from good materials and so far have been very durable. The bits fit very snugly and don't accidentally pop out of the handle even if dropped. The steel shank has wide flanges stamped into it to ensure the handle doesn't twist loose over time. The rubber handle cover is nice and grippy while still feeling good in your hand, and doesn't slip around over the plastic handle. I ordered this set specifically because it has metric and standard bits, and DeWALT tools have been good to me over the years. Maybe if you're someone that likes to sit and admire your tool collection, this organizer box is for you, to me it's unnecessarily bulky. If you're keeping your tools in a rolling tool chest or cabinet you don't need this much protection, and if you're keeping these in your tool bag or portable tool box, this organizer is going to take up WAY more space than you're going to want to sacrifice. I put all of the bits into my $10 divided plastic organizer box in my tool bag where I keep all my crimp connectors and misc screws. A couple of improvements I would like to see: 1) add a knurled section around the driver shank for quick finger turning operation 2) add a rubber bit keeper for the nut driver bits like the ones included for the screwdriver bits.

Sturdy. Quality set

Durable sturdy case and seemingly nice quality tools. I usually don’t care too much for what case that a set like this comes in, because they’re more than often “junk” that is on a short clock from jump, but this case really is sturdy, strong and keeps tools in place( there’s even space under the sockets that I put a pair of small 4” needle nose vice grips). Wrench is heavy and seems quality. It’s going in my boat for tough to reach/confined areas in an emergency. 100% recommended this set and especially for the price point. I am impressed, which I don’t often say when buying things like this online. Dewalt also boasts a “hassle free lifetime warranty” stated on the box. I don’t know if I’ll ever need it for these, but I do trust the Dewalt product line and this did not disappoint.

Great setup.

I'm a guy that has every tool so its hard to please me when it comes to them. I love the feel of the driver and shaft length. The assortment is a perfect mix without bits that you would never use. I am also not fond of cases but this one has them organized so good that I will leave it right there keeping everything well organized for the next use. I highly recommend this from the beginner to the expert. Would make a great gift.

Beautiful craftsmanship. Good quality

Nice ratchet. Good feeling. Looks amazing and I kept the case as it goes in my tool drawer nicely. This would make a great gift as it's in an awesome box to that can be reused. Ppl with tools always need storage and prefer organisation. Even if it's not used :) . Teeth click nicely even with quick unfastening movements and it doesn't Skip around much. Hate to admit it but it's the best one I have. But I won't use it for really hard stuck on bolts because I don't know how the ratchet would respond. Typically I find it's the stuck on bolts that damage these ratchets quick where they never work perfect again.
