A top notch sewing tool

I use this gauge almost every day in my sewing room. In fact, I loved the first one so much I bought two more--an extra to take with me to my quilting group sewing, and an extra for use at my ironing board. This is a very high quality tool, especially for being made out of plastic. But I should not have been surprised, Nancys Notions products are always top notch. This is a very useful tool, for a number of uses. I use it mostly to measure seam and hem widths so my work is straight, but you can use it for working with buttonholes and buttons and other things as well. I recommend this as a basic tool for anyone wishing to sew...it won't disappoint.

Very handy.

This is so handy and so easy to use. It will measure to six inches with increments for part measures. It has grooves in it to prevent it from sliding when measuring. The slider locks your measurement. It measures both ways. It has marks on both sides, the right side is reversed. Another feature is the clear round circular, button type thing. It has grips on the back of it. The green slider has a hole in between the long slot. Use it to set a circle measurement and this little button turns to form your circle. How clever is that? You can make 2.5 to 12 inch circles.

You'll be glad you bought it

best seam gauge I've ever owned. There really isn't much to say about it because it's a seam gauge. It's used to measure seam allowances along sewing projects. This one has a sliding gauge that locks in place. I haven't yet used mine for all of the other purposes, but it is a versatile tool that can take the place of other notions in your sewing cabinet. Its made well, and I think it will last a long time. Other seam gauges that I have purchased are flimsy and lost shape after a while which results in having to purchase another; I don't think that will be the case with this one.

Great tool with alot of uses

I just received this sliding gauge today and I tried it out to measure a hem, it works great and at the top I could draw a line (instead of marking it the way I was) I now can make a beautiful marked hem line. And looking at the tool I know I can use this for many other things. I am so glad I order this!!

Easy to use and read

Bought as a replacement for an old hemmer which broke Can be used for a couple of different things. Easy to use and read Was a little more costly than others that appear to be the same. It had a better rating that is why I bought this one

Big improvement over similar older style rulers with slide markers.

I had trouble keeping the sliding marker in position on my old ruler. The slider on this one stays in place with a ratchet-like holder. There's a button release to allow you to move the place holder. I'm going to love this little ruler.

Great addition to my sewing supplies

I LOVE this tool! I have been making shades which required a lot of seams and hems to be very accurately measured. I love that this gauge locks into place so there is no drifting as you use it multiple times. I have not yet tried the circular drawing capability, but I did check it out just a bit. The spot where you hold it steady is designed such that, even though you are holding it down firmly, the radial parts still moves quite freely, so it should work well. It is just a little more flexible than I thought it would be but so far that has not proven to be an issue at all.

Love this little gadget

Love this little gadget, it's so handy and much nicer than my old metal one. Features that I love: Easy to mark buttonholes and buttons placement Easy to measure since it locks in place Really neat compass feature for drawing circles It's a "T" gauge, a hem gauge, a compass, buttonhole spacer, and a seam allowance gauge. I Would definitely recommend this!

Perfect sized gauge

This slide rule gauge is perfect for many small arts, crafts and sewing projects.

Worked well for me.

This really helped me get an even hem on an open-weave fabric with wavy threads. Easy to use. Lightweight but seems sturdy.
